  • Publication number: 20060032081
Abstract: A continuous process for the production of dried superabsorbent polymers (SAPs) the polymerization reaction is carried out either in an initially homogenous aqueous monomer solution (bulk aqueous solution polymerization) or in a heterogeneous water-in-oil reactant mixture (reverse phase suspension or emulsion polymerization) within a continuous closed polymerization reactor, then the resulting polymer gel is dried within a continuous moved bed in a closed dryer, avoiding the needs of standard intermediate maturity tank(s).

  • Patent number: 6315269
Abstract: The cable support block is for temporarily supporting a lower cable to an upper aerial cable. The support block comprises a rigid arcuate frame having an upper yoke straddling the upper cable, and an idle load-bearing roller rotatably mounted on the frame and supporting the lower cable. An elongated coil spring is fixedly attached at a first end thereof to the frame and defines a second opposite free end portion thereof movable relative to the first end by resilient: deformation of the coil spring. To insert a cable into the arcuate frame, the cable is forcibly abutted against the coil spring which will resiliently yield to allow access of the cable into the arcuate frame by being inwardly deformed.

  • Patent number: 5762831
Abstract: This invention relates to a composite nuclear fuel material and method of manufacture of said material. The purpose of the invention is a composite nuclear fuel material comprising a matrix inert under irradiation and particles of nuclear fuel offering good resistance to fissure propagation under irradiation and high retention of volatile fission products. This purpose is achieved using a method which allows the creation of a clearance of a few microns between the particles and the matrix.
