  • Patent number: 4663718
Abstract: A number of displays are made by the combination of numerals and pictographs on an indicator which provides numerical values of information obtained from desired signals selected from display signals wherein units and meanings of the numerical values are obtained by operating a single selection switch which drives a selector and a single reset switch which resets a driving distance computing circuit and a running time computing circuit. The selection switch and the reset switch are installed integrally on the face plate of the single indicator used.

  • Patent number: 4647902
Abstract: A display unit of a fuel consumption meter for an automobile, wherein a proper fuel consumption is determined and an actual fuel consumption is measured and signals corresponding thereto are applied to comparing circuit and bar graph detectors. The comparing circuit compares the amplitude to the signals corresponding to proper fuel consumption and actual fuel consumption, and the bar graph decoders, after decoding the signals into a format compatible with a bar graph display, transmits the signals to an EX-OR circuit and an OR circuit.

  • Patent number: 4647901
Abstract: A display unit of a speedometer meter for an automobile, wherein a desired car speed is determined and an actual car speed is measured and signals corresponding thereto are applied to a comparing circuit and bar graph decoders. The comparing circuit compares the amplitude of the signals corresponding to desired car speed and actual car speed, and the bar graph decoders, after decoding the signals into a format compatible with a bar graph display, transmits the signals to an EX-OR circuit and an OR circuit.

  • Patent number: 4631513
Abstract: A display unit for a speedometer for an automobile, wherein car speed is sensed and displayed in at least two modes including a standard scale mode when car speed is above a set standard speed, and an enlarged scale mode when car speed falls below a lower set speed. The display unit includes a bar graph display, and a scale display, both of which are controlled in correspondence with car speed to operate in either the standard scale mode or the enlarged scale mode.
