    Abstract: A method for monitoring temperature in an enclosed space, especially a means of transportation such as an aircraft is disclosed. The method uses a wire or cable which has, between an inner conductor and an outer conductor, an element made of a material, the resistivity and dielectric permittivity of which vary with temperature. At one end of the cable, a check is made on the product RC of the resistance and the capacitance between the central conductor and the outer conductor.
