Abstract: A tongue cleaner having a housing in which a mechanical scraping blade is attached to a spraying fixture which can draw from a water source possibly with a chemical additive. When the user applies scraping blade of the tongue cleaner to the tongue, the surface of the tongue and the papillac of the tongue are exposed and sprayed with water; engaging and reducing bacteria buildup, which is the cause of Halitosis or bad breath.

Abstract: An integral oral hygiene system which includes an electric toothbrush wherein the brush can be replaced by an interproximal gum stimulator, an interproximal brush or a floss holder, all of which are driven by the toothbrush motor.

Abstract: An improved assembly of flexible multi-conduit tubing, and a method for the manufacture thereof are disclosed. The assembly provides a multiple conduit tube which is preformed in a specific helical shape to reduce bulk and to automatically return to shape without risk of tangling of the turns. This configuration is accomplished by winding the flexible tube in the helicoidal groove of a screw, and subjecting it to the proper heat treatment.

Abstract: A hand-held device for body care, in particular for tooth care and mouth care, which comprises a device casing serving as grip member, a hydraulic piston motor, an instrument holder alternatingly drivable by the motor, a liquid duct connectable to an external liquid pump, for feeding the hydraulic piston motor, and at least one adjustable valve for energizing and stopping the hydraulic motor. The device is adapted for use with treatment instruments which can be attached to the instrument holder in an interchangeable manner, in particular tooth brushes or spraying nozzles.

Abstract: This hydraulic apparatus for body care, notably buccal care, and for supplying a liquid to a hand appliance, comprises a casing enclosing a pump and power means for driving the pump. The pump input is connected via a valved coupling to the bottom of the detachable reservoir containing the liquid, and the pump output is connected via a hose to the hand appliance. The valved coupling comprises a movable valve member having a flat annular valve surface adapted to engage a registering flat annular seat consisting of the marginal portion of an opening formed in the bottom of the reservoir, when the latter is removed from the casing. Spring means constantly urge the valve member to its seated position.

Abstract: A return pipe for recycling liquid from a handpiece of a pulsed-liquid hygiene apparatus to a hydraulic motor is connected to the top of a relief flue above the working chamber of the motor by a coupling element which imparts a helicoidal movement to the returned liquid thus slowing its fall in the flue.
