  • Patent number: 5696625
Abstract: A flat screen receives light from a light projector at a projector location, and reflects the light to a spectator area. The screen has a center, spaced apart upper and lower edges and a pair of spaced apart side edges. The screen includes a multiplicity of reflective elements arranged in a plurality of vertical rows. Each row extends between the upper and lower edges of the screen. The plurality of rows are horizontally spaced and distributed between the pair of side edges. The elements of one row are displaced vertically with respect to the elements of an adjacent row and all of said element lie in a common plane so that the screen is flat. Each element has an optically active convex surface with a vertical generatrix and a curved horizontal directrix which crosses the generatrix at a center of the element.
