  • Publication number: 20180347191
Abstract: The present invention relates to a composite floor, typically a wood/concrete composite floor. The composite floor comprises a support structure being adapted to be attached to a concrete layer. The support structure comprises a top portion being made of at least one support panel comprising at least one opening through which the concrete layer may flow into the inner portion of the support structure once the top portion of the support structure is being disposed on the top of the concrete layer. The upward flow of the concrete creates at least one anchor point, which, once being harden in the inner portion of the support structure, improves the adhesion between the support panels and the concrete and ensures better mechanical rigidity and resistance of the assembly made of the panels and the concrete.

  • Patent number: 5398979
Abstract: The sections of concrete tubes or rings are connected end to end by means of a joint, and, in order to prevent aggregates and other undesirable materials to penetrate into the joint when a space is formed in the latter following climate modifications or other disturbances, there is disposed at the level of the joint, a ring of flexible material, which includes a flange made to remain pressed against the joint and to cover the latter permanently even if a space is produced in the joint. This ring is preferably fixed at one of the sections of tube and this ring may even be made of two interconnecting members.

  • Patent number: 4495688
Abstract: Method of manufacturing this panel by pouring concrete in a mold where a reinforcement has been introduced. According to the method there are first of all provided rectangular molds in which at least two of the opposite sides are flared. Concrete is thereafter poured into one of the molds while introducing the reinforcement and this operation is continued until the mold is completely filled. On the other hand, there are provided steel trusses having seating pads at both ends thereof, each truss being formed of a base and a head connected together by a system of metallic rods mounted in zigzag. Then, the two trusses are spacedly mounted parallel to one another as well as with the two flared sides of the mold, above the surface of the concrete which has been freshly poured in the mold and the head of the truss is caused to penetrate therein by means of a U-shaped winch mechanism until the seating pads of the trusses come flush with the surface of the concrete.
