Abstract: A helmet assembly having a helmet, a mandible guard, and an accessory attachment system that is used to selectively attach and secure the mandible guard to the helmet is disclosed. In some embodiments, the mandible guard is arranged to be detached from a first side of the helmet while remaining secured to a second side of the helmet. In such embodiments, the mandible guard may be moved outwardly and away from a wearer as the mandible guard pivots around the accessory attachment system attached to the second side of the helmet.

The luminaire structure has a housing including first and second housing structure segments configured to be located adjacent the corner in an operative position. The housing is configured to support at least one LED array, and to support at least one light delivery structure to be located at or adjacent a light output region. The housing has at least one internal services region to receive one or more components therein. A mounting interface is configured to cooperate with the housing and/or an anchor structure mounted in or adjacent to the corner area, to enable the housing to be deployed between a servicing position and an operative position. The housing is proximal to the anchor structure, at least in part, and the internal services region is rendered inaccessible for servicing by its proximity to the housing and the corner.

Abstract: A protective helmet adapted to receive and protect a head of a wearer comprises: an outer shell shaped to protect the head of the wearer, with the outer shell defining a bottom opening and an internal cavity for receiving the head of the wearer; a headband and a suspension positioned within the internal cavity of the outer shell; and a visor rotatable between a retracted position within the outer shell to an extended position in front of a face of the wearer, wherein the visor simultaneously rotates about a first pivot axis and a second pivot axis as it moves between the retracted position and the extended position. The visor can also be readily removed from the protective helmet and easily replaced should it become damaged.

The lock may be positioned on a slidable insert of the accessory attachment member.
