  • Patent number: 11666339
Abstract: A surgical stapling instrument includes an anvil defining a plurality of staple forming pockets and a stapling head assembly configured to drive a plurality of staples against the staple forming pockets of the anvil. The stapling head assembly comprises a coupling member configured to actuate the anvil relative to the stapling head assembly, a firing assembly configured to drive the plurality of staples against the staple forming pockets of the anvil, and a deck member. The deck member includes a deck surface extending radially between an inner circular edge and an outer circular edge, and a plurality of staple openings extending through the deck surface. The plurality of staple openings define at least one cross shape.

  • Patent number: 11565383
Abstract: An electrically isolated adapter may include a drive body made of first metallic material extending along a common axis, a driven body made of a second metallic material extending along the common axis, and an isolation assembly formed of insulating material disposed between the drive body and the driven body. The drive body may include a drive head configured to interface with a socket or fastener. The insulating material has a resistance to electrical current that is higher than the resistance to electrical current of at least one of the first metallic material and the second metallic material. The driven body may include a drive receiver configured to interface with a protrusion of a driving tool. A portion of one of the drive body or the driven body is received inside a portion of the other of the drive body or the driven body such that the drive body and driven body overlap each other along the common axis.

  • Patent number: 9441418
Abstract: A rotary drill stem for a well including a central tubular element, and first and second connectors each including a threaded portion that can connect the element to another element. At least one of the connectors includes a chamber in communication with a pressure outside the chamber. The connector includes an annular signal transmission coupler. The annular coupler includes a ring having an annular coupling surface. The coupler includes an insulating support that leaves the annular coupling surface free. The coupler includes a piston surface axially opposite to the annular coupling surface. The annular coupler forms a piston.
