  • Patent number: 8126964
Abstract: A method to distribute or share data provided by a server process of an industrial control system to a client process running on a first machine of a first user, with a client process running on a machine of a second user. The server session is logged by the server process. It is determined that the first user makes a selection to distribute or share a client process with at least one second user. An address is retrieved for the at least one other user, and a channel is opened thus providing the same data provided to the client process running on the first machine to a client process running on a second machine of at least one second user. Also included are system, a human-machine interface and a computer program for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 7979162
Abstract: A wireless controller for controlling and/or monitoring a device arranged mounted on or relative to an industrial robot. A wireless communicator including a processor arranged with software means handles wireless communication to and from the device. A control carries out at least one control function for one or more actuators of the device. Also, a method, a computer program and a graphic user interface.

  • Patent number: 7873371
Abstract: A method for handling messages from a mobile user, in a control system controlling a plurality of real world objects, wherein the real world objects are represented by software objects and the user selects one of the objects for the message. The method includes receiving information about which of the objects has been selected. A voice message is recorded. The message is stored associated with the software object representing the selected real world object, such that the message is accessible from the control system. The presence of a message associated with the object is indicated. Upon request, the content of the message is presented.

  • Patent number: 7787992
Abstract: A method to generate technical information about a device or process by recognizing the identity of a device or process, retrieving a stored image dependent on the device, combining the stored virtual image together with an image of a real device object, displaying the combination on a display and providing a virtual control HMI means to the user for monitoring and/or controlling the device or process. A graphical user interface, computer program and a system are also described.

  • Publication number: 20070282781
Abstract: A method to retrieve and/or access information about an equipment, plant or process in a facility including a plurality of devices and one or more control systems for process monitoring and control, wherein energy-related information and other data for each said device is stored in a the control system. A software entity is configured with an identity of a selected the equipment, plant or process. Information associated with the equipment, plant or process is retrieve with the configured software entity. At least information about a new event or alarm for the device and/or the location of the equipment, plant or process about to a user is presented or displayed.

  • Patent number: 7143149
Abstract: A communication system that enables an operator to remotely query and control the process sections in an industrial plant by exchanging data with a central computer that controls the process sections. The operator communicates with the process sections through a mobile wireless device remotely connected with one of the multiple wireless access points on a data network. This data network is, in turn, connected to the central computer that controls these process sections. The central computer stores the location of the process sections and the operator profiles. When requested, it collates and processes this data and presents it to the operator. Further, if the need arises, the central computer tracks and interacts with the operator.
