  • Publication number: 20240068900
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for detecting and flagging a leak in roofing (2), employing a system (1) comprising i) one local detecting and communicating unit for each roofing region (Zi), comprising an elongate sensor and a module (5) for measuring and transmitting at least certain results of the measurements successively carried out, and ii) a management platform (6) configured to receive and process measurements of the modules (5) of various local units managed thereby, and to selectively trigger one or more predetermined actions depending on an evaluation of the received measurements and on an estimation as to whether or not a leak is present, each sensor (4) being installed under the waterproof membrane of the associated roofing region (Zi) and the uplink communication between each local unit and the platform (6) being achieved at least locally through a mode of wireless transmission between the module (5) of the local unit in question and either a local relay terminal, or a base station or even a c

  • Patent number: 7645455
Abstract: The present invention provides chimeric nucleic acids, preferably contained on an expression vector, that encode chimeric immunogenic polypeptides. The nucleic acids encode at least site III of a lyssavirus glycoprotein, which has been found to improve the immunogenicity of lyssavirus epitopes for protection from rabies. The chimeric nucleic acids and proteins can also contain antigenic determinants for epitopes other than those of lyssavirus. Thus, the invention provides chimeric nucleic acids and polypeptides that elicit a strong immune response to multiple antigens. Use of the methods of the present invention permits DNA vaccination without the need to supply multiple antigens on separate DNA molecules.

  • Patent number: 6510784
Abstract: A safety device for a food processor having a bowl closed by a cover and fed through a chute for introducing products into the working bowl, has a control switch responsive to the position of a pusher guide carrying a pusher. The pusher is slidably mounted for translation in the pusher-guide. The pusher-guide is pivotally mounted to cover over the open end of the chute, and a set of rods connect the pusher-guide to the switch operating safety rod extending along the bowl. The device prevents access of the user's hand to the cutting area, even for a large chute, by blocking the chute when the motor is enabled.

  • Patent number: 3951588
Abstract: Described is a process for the semi-continuous or continuous dyeing and printing or optical brightening of cellulose materials by impregnation of the material with an aqueous liquor or printing paste containing at least one fibre-reactive dyestuff or fibre-reactive optical brightener, wherein subsequent to impregnation, fixing of the dyestuff or optical brightener is performed in a salt-free single-phase bath containing at least one alcohol and alkali and optionally water.By this process there are obtained dyed or optically brightened cellulose materials having fastness properties equivalent to those obtained in the conventional manner. An advantage of the present process, in contrast to the usual processes, is that the waste water is not polluted by large amounts of salt.

  • Patent number: 3950197
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method for manufacturing a substantially planar and horizontal rigid structure constituted by building elements which are jointed to each other, comprising the steps of successively moulding said building elements from a rapidly polymerizing foamed plastic material; transferring successively said building elements, immediately after polymerization of said plastic material to a predetermined location in the structure to be obtained, so as place each one of said elements into a juxtaposition with respect to the previously transferred element, said transferring step being carried out preferably after a modification of at least a portion of the surface of said elements; and jointing to said predetermined location to the element which has previously been transferred.
