The cassette comprises a digital ionizing radiation detector in the form of a flat panel which makes it possible to provide an image which depends on the radiation received, with an electronic board ensuring the control of the digital detector, and a casing ensuring the mechanical protection of the detector and the electronic board. The cassette additionally comprises a flat seating which supports the detector on a first one of its main faces, and supports the electronic board on a second one of its main faces, the two main faces being opposite. The seating is formed by a heterogeneous stack produced such that the surface thermal conductivity of the seating is greater than the transverse thermal conductivity of the seating.

Abstract: A casing gasket is described for providing a spatial contact and an electrical connection between first and second pieces of a casing for electronic equipment, the gasket including an electrically conductive resilient body of substantially C-shaped cross-section for grasping opposite sides of a panel on said first piece of said casing. The body has a first limb for engaging one side of the panel and a second limb for engaging the other side of the panel. A contact portion is provided on the convex side of the body. The body is shaped so that a lateral contact force applied to said contact portion by said second piece of said casing being brought into overlapping relation with said panel causes the body to pivot with respect to said panel so that the movement of the contact portion is made up not only of the elastic deformation of the body, but also by the pivotal motion of the body with respect to the panel.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method to optimize the operation of an ink-jet printer provided with a circuit to collect the ink not used for the printing, comprising a gutter connected to an imperviously sealed ink tank by a conduit placed in a state of depression by a constant flow pump checking the flow rate of ink in the conduit by the measurement of the pressure in the ink tank and controlling the operation of the pump either at its minimum suction rate compatible with efficient collection of the ink or at its maximum suction rate during anomalies of collection.

Abstract: An actuator having a tubular body with a cylindrical bore therein within which a piston reciprocates, an output shaft extending into said bore and a linkage for converting the linear movement of the piston into the rotary motion of said shaft. The linkage is contained entirely within said bore. In one form the piston is spring loaded and a spring follower also provides a piston for compressing the spring to permit the force exerted on the piston to be transmitted to the output shaft substantially in its entirety.
