Publication number: 20220045797Abstract: A method for transmitting data in a radiofrequency (RF) communication system, includes at least one piece of equipment, referred to as the BBU, configured to generate I/Q samples from data to be sent, and to extract a payload from I/Q samples, a plurality of pieces of equipment, referred to as RRH, configured to generate and transmit an RF analogue signal on the basis of I/Q samples, and to generate I/Q samples from a received RF signal, digital communication links between BBU and RRH, each BBU being configured to transmit/receive data through one of the RRH, the I/Q samples exchange being organized in the form of sample packets marked by a sequence identifier, BBU and RRH implementing a mechanism for acknowledgement of the exchanged packets, and to change RRH depending on the state of the acknowledgements. The communication system and equipment implementing the method are also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 4, 2021Publication date: February 10, 2022Inventors: Fabrice ARNAL, Nicolas VAN WAMBEKE, Pierre ROGNANT

Publication number: 20200100113Abstract: A method of detecting and filtering illegitimate communication streams in a satellite communication network is provided, the method being executed by a gateway satellite station able to establish a communication link between a satellite and an access network and comprising the steps of: receiving a communication stream originating from the satellite, determining a set of characteristics of the communication stream forming a signature of the stream, applying at least one classification algorithm so as to class the signature into a set of legitimate signatures or into a set of illegitimate signatures, if the signature is classed into the set of illegitimate signatures, filtering the communication stream, otherwise transmitting the communication stream to the access network.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 18, 2019Publication date: March 26, 2020Inventors: Pierre ROGNANT, Nicolas VAN WAMBEKE, Mathilde PEYREGA

Publication number: 20190190821Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting data between a first communication device and a second communication device, the first communication device being configured to receive from a router connected to the first communication device data in the form of packets comprising at least one intermediate level label, wherein the method comprises at least: a) an initial step of connection setup, comprising at least: a1) a sub-step of transmitting the intermediate level label; a2) a sub-step of recording the intermediate level label; b) a step of transmitting the data packet, comprising: b1) a sub-step of deleting the intermediate level label transmitted by the router connected to the first communication device in the data packet; b2) A sub-step of transmitting the de-encapsulated data packet, with a view to being reconstructed after its transmission.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 17, 2018Publication date: June 20, 2019Inventors: Nicolas VAN WAMBEKE, Pierre ROGNANT

Patent number: 10243919Abstract: Systems and methods are described to enable automation of service discovery records, such as domain name system (DNS) records, based on rules. An administrator of a hosted server, such as a virtual machine instance, may submit a rule to a rule-based DNS resolution system for generating DNS records to assist in discover of the hosted server. The rule may include criteria specifying servers to which the rule applies, as well as criteria for generating a domain name to associate with the server within a DNS record. The rule-based DNS resolution system can integrate with a hosting system providing the hosted server to obtain configuration information of the hosted server and generate DNS records in accordance with the rule. Rules may also be utilized to automate other aspects of the rule-based DNS resolution system, such as health checking and load balancing.Type: GrantFiled: September 28, 2016Date of Patent: March 26, 2019Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Sairam Suresh, Alireza Farhangi, Sean Henry Lewis Meckley, Christopher B. Patent number: 10182033Abstract: Systems and methods are described to enable integrating operation of a service record system with operation of an automatically scaled service hosting system. The service hosting system can maintain a set of servers to provide a network-accessible service, and the service record system can maintain records identifying the set of servers as endpoints for the service. The service hosting system can further modify the number of servers within the set based, for example, on demand. When the service hosting system intends to remove a server from the set, it may notify the service record system. The service record system, in turn, can determine whether any valid records are predicted to exist that identify the to-be-removed server as an endpoint for the service. If such records are predicted to exist, removal of the server can be delayed until those records expire, to prevent errors resulting from client reliance on those records.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2016Date of Patent: January 15, 2019Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Alireza Farhangi, Christopher Barclay, Sairam Suresh, Pierre Rognant, Sean Henry Lewis Meckley

Patent number: 10135916Abstract: Systems and methods are described to enable integrating operation of a service record system with operation of a hosting system. The service hosting system can maintain a set of servers to provide a network-accessible service, and the service record system can maintain records identifying the set of servers as endpoints for the service. The service record system can periodically transmit health check data to servers within the set, to verify their health status. When the service record system determines that a server is unhealthy, it can notify the hosting system. If the hosting system removes the server from the pool, it can notify the service record system, so that the service record system can halt further health checking of the server.Type: GrantFiled: September 19, 2016Date of Patent: November 20, 2018Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Alireza Farhangi, Christopher Barclay, Sairam Suresh, Pierre Rognant, Sean Henry Lewis Meckley

Patent number: 10118710Abstract: An unducted fan for an aircraft turbine engine, including a propeller having a hub and an annular array of blades extending substantially radially outwards from the hub, is provided. The hub includes an annular array of cowls, each of which is mounted between the radially inner ends of the blades and suitable for being fixed to an upstream collar and to a downstream collar of the hub. At least one cowl includes, at a circumferential end, a joint edge which is contiguous with a complementary joint edge of an adjacent cowl. The at least one cowl and at least one of the upstream and downstream collars are configured so that the cowl can be mounted and dismounted by a movement including a pivoting about an initial pivot axis circumferentially separated from the at least one joint edge.Type: GrantFiled: February 23, 2016Date of Patent: November 6, 2018Assignees: SAFRAN AIRCRAFT ENGINES, AIRCELLEInventors: Charles-Henri Michel Marie Derrez, Adrien Jacques Philippe Fabre, Sebastien Marcelino Juste, Cyril Roger Yves Le Pecheur, Michel Pierre Rognant
