  • Patent number: 4944687
Abstract: In a deformable system whereby electrical energy distribution conduits and conductors disposed longitudinally therein can be connected along a curved path, the system comprises a deformable central part containing a layer of conductors. Said central part comprises links hinged about axes parallel to the layer and perpendicular to the conductors, which latter are plastically deformable. They are solid conductors having a section which is flattened in the transverse direction of the layer of conductors. The said axes extend through the neutral axis of the conductors.Use to eliminate adverse elastic return movements of the system.

  • Patent number: 4911651
Abstract: The invention provides a supply box for electric ducting able to be mounted at both ends of an electric distribution ducting. This box comprises a movable part with foolproof means which may be moved transversely with respect to the axis of the ducting, between a first position in which the foolproof means cooperate with associated foolproof means on the ducting so as to allow connection of the box to the ducting and a second position making such connection impossible. Marks provided on the movable part make it possible to identify the conductors of the box for each of the two positions.

  • Patent number: 4897048
Abstract: An electric ducting comprises, inside a metal protection casing in the form of a tubular conduit, a flat support which extends in the longitudinal direction of the casing, over the whole length thereof, and which is formed by extruding an electrically insulating plastic material. The support is provided with parallel grooves arranged side by side, in each of which a current conducting bar is housed flat. For the same flat grooved extruded support, the conducting bars corresponding to different current ratings have the same general U-shape whose legs and base have respectively the same outer height and the same outer width whatever the current rating, only the thickness of the U-shaped bar varying as a function of the current rating.

  • Patent number: 4823231
Abstract: A disconnectable current tapping device is provided having clips engageable on onmibus bars and disengageable therefrom by translation of a clip carrying slide controlled by a rotary shaft, which is rotated by a plug which is mounted for translation on the shaft while being urged by a return spring, and which is subjected to the action of a control member such as an operating key. By an axial thrust exerted on the plug, a transmission piece provided with a spur in engagement in an annular groove formed in the plug, is drawn in translation so as to actuate a prebreak microcontact; at the end of rotation of the shaft controlling the disconnection, the piece is retained by a resilient retractable member, whereas the plug is returned only through a ramp provided at the edge of the groove so as to allow release of the spur.

  • Patent number: 4776817
Abstract: The invention provides a clip device for establishing a disconnectable electric connection between an omnibus bar and a fixed conducting knife. The clip is formed of two symmetrical flat conducting tongues disposed opposite each other and connected together by two compression springs. The clips are spaced apart and held apart from each other by a stirrup against which each of the legs of the clip bears in a double layer effect after unclipping thereof from the bar by translation.

  • Patent number: 4668035
Abstract: A distribution system and column for electric switching apparatus is provided comprising a distribution column with bus bars and a protective case disposed about the bars, a plurality of supports which extend laterally to the case and which have at least one bearing wall applicable to a respective fixing face of the case. Each support is adapted to carry at least one switching apparatus and a current tapping and disconnecting member having clips clippable on the distribution bars through traps provided in a side of the case, said member comprises means for connection to the switching apparatus and a manually actuatable mobile disconnection part.

  • Patent number: 4230388
Abstract: A connection means serves for the electrical coupling of ends of bus bars situated in protection sheaths, and has clips under the action of resilient members and associated with each phase to be connected, the clips being actuated by as many locking means as there are phases to be coupled. The heads of the locking means have a shape and arrangement such that the mechanical association of the upstream and downstream sheath ends can only be effected in the open state of the clips, while the positive closing of the device can only be effected in the inverse state.
