  • Publication number: 20240093063
Abstract: A method for transferring an adhesive layer of thermoplastic polymer(s) from a first substrate to a second substrate including: depositing an antiadhesive layer on a first substrate, this layer being deposited on the periphery of the top face of said substrate, referred to as peripheral layer, thus providing on said top face a zone devoid of said layer, referred to as central zone; depositing an adhesive layer of thermoplastic polymer(s) on said central zone; depositing an antiadhesive layer on a second substrate, this layer being deposited on the top face of the second substrate excluding its periphery, said periphery being thus devoid of said antiadhesive layer; bonding the first substrate and the second substrate consisting of thermocompressing the top face of the first substrate onto the top face of the second substrate; removing the first substrate, whereby the second substrate remains, of which the top face is coated by the adhesive layer of thermoplastic polymer(s).

  • Patent number: 6043592
Abstract: A microtip emissive cathode electron source has a series of cathode conductors carrying a plurality of microtips and a series of grids. Each of the electrodes of at least one of the series is in contact with a resistive layer having meshes, a group of the microtips facing each mesh. A conductive element faces the interior of each mesh in front of the group of microtips corresponding to the mesh and is in contact with the resistive layer.

  • Patent number: 5635790
Abstract: A process for the production of microtip electron sources and the products produced thereby. The process includes a first cleaning stage with a first wet chemical cleaning substage and/or a second plasma cleaning substage and a finishing stage using surface etching. A second cleaning stage using a wet chemical cleaning can also be used. The process uses a system of cathode conductors, grids superimposed an intermediate insulator and microtips deposited on the cathode conductors.

  • Patent number: 5482486
Abstract: A method for forming a microtip electron source includes the steps of forming a first microtip electron source using a mask, determining deviations in the structure of the first microtip electron source from a structure which should theoretically have been obtained using the first mask, and then correcting the first mask used during fabrication of the first microtip electron source that are designed to generate additional deviations that compensate for the effects upon performance of the deviations determined in the first microtip electron source when subsequent microtip electron sources are fabricated using the mask.

  • Patent number: 4889412
Abstract: Liquid crystal cell using the electrically controlled birefringence effect and processes for the production of the cell and a uniaxial medium or material of negative optical anistropy usable therein. The cell can comprise two crossed rectilinear polarizers, two glass plates provided with transparent electrodes and placed between said polarizers, a liquid crystal layer between the plates and, between a plate and a polarizer, a layer of a negative uniaxial thermoplastic polymer having its extraordinary axis perpendicular to the plates. This layer can be obtained by heating the polymer up to the isotropic state, under a uniform presure on the polarizers, cooling and eliminating the pressure. Application to the production of data display devices.
