  • Patent number: 4877019
Abstract: An intramedullary nail comprises a tubular body (1) having a hexagonal cross section and is curved along its length from a proximal end to a distal end, with a frustoconically tapering portion (3) at the distal end. Adjacent the distal end portion (3) are a plurality of holes (6) and adjacent the proximal end are a plurality of slots (7) for receiving fixing screws or locking pins.
