    Abstract: A method and a device with which a license plate can be produced in a favorable fashion. This is achieved by assigning a sticker to a license plate body of the license plate or to a metal plate in order to produce a multiplicity of license plate bodies. Very precise positioning of a data carrier in a receptacle of a license plate body of a license plate is particularly costly. Increased fabrication costs are to be expected owing to the necessary precision and the associated complexity of the production process of a license plate having a data carrier.
