  • Patent number: 7893521
Abstract: An energiser for an electric fence. The energiser includes, at least, one energy storage capacitor (14), a charging circuit (13) to enable the or each storage capacitor (14) to be charged from an energy source (10), semiconductor switching means (16), and control circuit means (15) to facilitate controlled turning -on and -off of the semiconductor switching means (16) to control the duration of the discharge from the energy storage means (14). In one form of the energiser a first semi-conductor switching means is arranged to connect in parallel the energy storage capacitors (14) to be charged and second semi-conductor switching means to connect two or more of the charged energy storage capacitors (14) in series to create an output pulse.

  • Patent number: 6980924
Abstract: Weighing apparatus, which includes one or more loadbars 11 and a weight indicator 10. Communication between the loadbars 11 and the indicator 10 is via a wireless communication. The indicator 10 includes a receiver 12 and data from the loadbar 11 is transmitted to the receiver 12 via transmitter 24. A sealed power source module 16 is connected to the loadbars 11 or one power source module 16 is connected to each loadbar 11. The transmitter 24 can be incorporated in the power source 16.

  • Patent number: 6847298
Abstract: A data transmission system which is particularly useful for a remote control apparatus for an electric fence. The apparatus includes a portable hand held housing with a contact 16 which in use can contact a conductor of an electric fence line. The output of the apparatus includes a resonating circuit with inductor L, transformer 14 and a small high voltage capacitor C2. The apparatus can thus generate information embedded within a series of short signal bursts of a frequency within a predetermined frequency range. A receiver coupled to or forming part of an electric fence energizer can receive a signal from the apparatus to control operation of the energizer.
