  • Patent number: 5005338
Abstract: Three sets of product pick-up elements each pick up products in a linear array, the three arrays being parallel. One set places products from a vibratory feeder to a buffer array, a second set places product into a measuring station from the buffer and the third set places products onto a packaging tape from the measuring station. Faulty products are individually discharged from the third set. A process is disclosed for filling the intervening empty slots in the tape due to the selective discharge of the faulty products.

  • Patent number: 4415083
Abstract: A package containing a stack of rectangular, plate-shaped parts such as electronic components to be subsequently utilized comprises an elongate tube having a rectangular internal cross section corresponding to that of the parts. A stop member abuts against each end of the stack adjacent the corresponding extremity of the tube. At least one stop member is frictionally slidable in the tube with a clamp fit and has a portion projecting beyond the corresponding extremity of the tube. The arrangement of the two stop members with respect to the stack and the tube is such that, regardless of which extremity of the tube happens to come into contact with an object during transport of the tube, the position of the stack within the tube remains substantially unchanged. The projecting portion of the frictionally slidable stop member enables such stop member to be removed from the tube when it is desired to utilize the stacked parts.

  • Patent number: 4245277
Abstract: Electrolytic capacitors are provided with a pressure-relief valve which opens if the gas pressure inside the capacitor exceeds a given value to relieve the pressure. In the case of severe electrical overloading, however, the gas-relief passage usually is of insufficient size to prevent excessive pressure build-up, and there is a possibility of explosions. The present invention provides a capacitor in which the pressure-relief valve comprises a venting aperture in a bowl-shaped recess member with the aperture being closed by an elastic member held in compression over the aperture by a thermoplastic strip secured at its ends to the wall of the capacitor housing.

  • Patent number: 3938228
Abstract: A method of making an electrical terminal in a metal capacitor housing. The terminal includes a metal disc on which a metal pin is eccentrically formed. By means of the pin, a part of an insulating foil inserted between the terminal and the housing is pressed through a hole in the housing, after which the pin is riveted. The foil is removed from the end of the pin, whereby a capacitor electrode can be welded to the pin.
