  • Publication number: 20060080786
Abstract: A dry cleaning process for in-home dry cleaning comprising a low-aqueous dry cleaning step of contacting a laundry article with a low-aqueous dry cleaning composition, wherein said composition comprises a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent, water and surfactant, whereby the water to cloth ratio (w/w) is less than 0.45 and the water to surfactant ratio (w/w) is at most 1.5, wherein said organic dry cleaning solvent is selected from hydrofluorocarbon, hydrofluoroether and siloxane solvent.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 3, 2003

  • Publication number: 20060048307
Abstract: A dry cleaning process for in-home dry cleaning comprising a low aqueous dry cleaning step of contacting a laundry article with a low aqueous dry cleaning composition wherein the liquor to cloth ratio (w/w) (LCR) is at most 20, and wherein said low aqueous composition comprises: a) at least one non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent; b) 0.01 to 0.9 wt. % water and c) a cleaning effective amount of a surfactant wherein said surfactant comprises at least one anionic headgroup.

  • Publication number: 20050132502
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of eliminating the need to have a track or other delivery service bring solvent to a home where a dry cleaning machine using said solvent is used. Instead, the method involves a method of first monitoring or having monitored level of solvent used and then ordering or obtaining said solvent in a consumer package or kit wherein the solvent can then be directly applied by the consumer or other to a receptacle where said solvent is kept.
    Type: Application
    Filed: December 23, 2003
    Publication date: June 23, 2005
Inventors: Francesca Goldoni, Kees Van Kralingen, Dennis Murphy, Michael Orchowski, Pieter Overdevest
  • Publication number: 20050137116
Abstract: The invention provides an in-home dry cleaning process carried out in a dry-cleaning machine containing a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent, wherein said process comprises the steps of (i) mixing said solvent with a disposable treatment composition to form a dry cleaning composition, and subsequently (ii) contacting a laundry article with the dry cleaning composition. The disposable treatment composition contains a surfactant and/or cleaning agent and dry cleaning solvent in an amount which is sufficient to replenish the dry cleaning solvent lost in a previous dry cleaning cycle in said dry cleaning machine. As a result, the total amount of solvent in the machine is maintained at substantially constant level.
    Type: Application

  • Publication number: 20050132508
Abstract: The invention provides an in-home dry cleaning process carried out in a dry-cleaning machine containing a non-flammable, non-chlorine containing organic dry cleaning solvent, and comprising the steps of (i) mixing the solvent with a disposable treatment composition to form a dry cleaning composition and subsequently (ii) (ii) contacting a laundry article with the dry cleaning composition. The disposable treatment composition contains a surfactant and/or cleaning agent and water in an amount which is sufficient to give both good cleaning performance and effective fabric care.
