  • Patent number: 9364963
Abstract: A cutter for printed substrates includes a supporting plane adapted to receive a substrate on which images separated by mutually perpendicular edges are printed, and a plurality of cutting units suitable for cutting the printed substrate along the edges. Each cutting unit has a pair of parallel blades spaced apart at a distance corresponding to a width of the edges, a backing plane arranged underneath the supporting plane of the cutter, and a connecting arm which extends from a frame of the cutting unit to the backing plane. The connecting arm is parallel to the blades and is arranged between them and a through opening is formed in a portion of the backing plane under the connecting arm.

Abstract: The invention relates to a cutter for cutting printed substrates, having a supporting plane adapted to receive a printed substrate comprising a plurality of images separated by a plurality of edges perpendicular to each other in a feeding direction (F), and a plurality of cutting units suitable for cutting the printed substrate along said edges in a longitudinal direction (L), parallel to the feed direction (F), and in a transverse (T), perpendicular to the feeding direction (F). Each cutting unit has a pair of parallel blades, spaced apart at a distance corresponding to the width of the edges, a backing plane arranged underneath the supporting plane of the cutter and suitable to provide a backing surface to the blades during cutting, and a connecting arm which extends from a frame of the cutting unit on which the blades are mounted to the backing plane in a direction opposite to the cutting direction.

  • Patent number: 5590549
Abstract: A device for feeding into and respectively withdrawing from an autoclave (1), of fabric (11) to be continuously decatized under pressure, together with a felt back cloth (3), includes in addition to the already known lead-in center cylinder (5) between the two runs of fabric going in and coming out (3, 11; 3', 11'), a pair of side cylinders (4, 6) cooperating with the above (5) and replacing the already known inflatable gaskets. It is the fabric-felt assembly (3, 11) itself that, by being compressed between the two pairs of cylinders (4, 5; 5, 6) builds a barrier against steam leakages. The center cylinder (5) and/or the two side cylinders (4, 6) may be recessed in order to define, in the nip area, a recess shallower that the thickness of the paired materials.

  • Patent number: 5570595
Abstract: An apparatus for autoclave continuous decatizing of fabrics, having a rotating cylinder which closes the slot through which a backing cloth and the associated fabric pass to enter and exit the autoclave is provided. A foraminous hollow member, which is adapted to reduce the percentage of oxygen existing within the autoclave (1), is located adjacent to the backing material and the fabric where the backing material and the fabric enter the autoclave. Thin plates (14) are further preferably provided, movable closer to the inside of the fabric (4) immediately before it exits from the autoclave (1), under the external control, in order to be able to possibly continue the "sandwich" pressing action which takes place along the periphery of the foraminous cylinder (2), or to have in this area a free vaporizing stretch.

  • Patent number: 5123134
Abstract: There is described herein an improved method for decatizing in an autoclave wherein steam is led into the jacket surrounding said autoclave, at a pressure level increasing up to a stationary level within the autoclave. That is obtained by means of an automatically and adjustably controlled throttling valve at the steam inlet to the jacket, the valve being for instance driven by means of a microprocessor routine, and having an autoclave inlet valve associated therewith. In case the outer jacket is missing there might possibly be provided only an automatically controlled autoclave inlet valve performing also as a throttling valve, in order to have a gradually increasing inlet pressure.

  • Patent number: 4277032
Abstract: An automatic apparatus for continuously forming cloth rolls of a selected length from great size rolls or continuous bands made of a number of cloth pieces sewn together, comprises a detecting means such as a photocell responsive to a seam between two adjoining pieces, positioned upstream of a measuring station which in turn is upstream of a cutting station. Selected advancements of the cloth and corresponding cutting operations are actuated by known automatic devices which are disabled whenever the above-mentioned detecting means senses a seam between two pieces sewn together. Another detecting means such as photocell in correspondence of the measuring station causes the cloth to stop as soon as a seam has reached this position, being preset to this operation by the first-mentioned photocell. With the automatic advancement disabled, the cloth is caused to advance, after the stop, by a fixed length corresponding to the distance between the measuring station and the cutting station.

  • Patent number: 4089091
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for preparing framed diapositive assemblies by automatically coupling together a diapositive, an integrally formed frame and a transparent plate. The apparatus comprises three partially overlapping horizontal discs, each formed with the same number of openings, symmetrically positioned around a central vertical pivot. The discs are mounted on their pivots at a short mutual distance and the pivots, one of which is driven to rotate, are synchronized in motion. A magazine is positioned over and in correspondence with the upper disc and another magazine over and in correspondence with the lower disc, respectively for feeding into the openings the transparent plates and the frames. The opening on the intermediate disc for the diapositive, is formed at the periphery of the disc itself and comprises an elastic support means, such as two side brushes.
