  • Patent number: 6613178
Abstract: A procedure for the covering of editorial items foresees at least the following steps: the positioning of an editorial object (10) to be covered, on a thermoplastic film (11), fitted with folds (12, 13, 31, 32) on its sides, so that the editorial object (10), open on the folded film indicated, has the sides (14, 15) of its cover tucked within the folds (12, 13, 31, 32); to bring the editorial object (10) in contact with the head weld (30) of the film so that it is in a suitable position for the cutting of the excess film and for the welds required to trim the sides of the editorial object (10), where the cutting and trimming operations are carried out through the use of a lever (17, 22, 24), fitted with hot resistances (18, 23, 25). The invention comprise also a device (110) for the covering of editorial objects.

  • Publication number: 20020134052
Abstract: A process for the realization of box-shaped packagings with thermoplastic film sheets foresees the use of at least one film sheet of thermoplastic material (12, 13), bound to a flap (14, 15) of a box (11), when the same is placed in a laid down configuration, and comprises the following steps; placing the box (11) in such a way as to be able to take said film sheets (12, 13) away, leaving the bottom of the box (11) accessible; inserting the products (21) in the box (11); wrapping the products (21) into said film sheets (12, 13); heating the content of the box (11) with means for providing a concentrated ventilation from the top; and, once the shrinking of the thermoplastic material has occurred, closing the box (11) at the open side.

  • Patent number: 6151870
Abstract: A machine for packaging products using a plastic film comprises: at least a fixed frame (TF) and at least a mobile counter-frame (CM), said counter-frame (CM) can be moved between a lifted rest position and a lowered working position wherein the film is clamped against said frame (TF), the movement of the mobile counter-frame (CM) is controlled by at least a fluid-dynamic actuator (25) which works between the machine frame (11) and said mobile counter-frame. According to the invention, a link (26) is positioned between said actuator (25) and said frame (11), said link is pivoted to the actuator (21) in (27) and is pivoted to the frame (11) in (28), said link (26) is further provided with a control device (30) connected to a sensor (32), in order to automatically stop the machine from working.

  • Patent number: 5381644
Abstract: A machine for packaging articles is provided and includes a support for a roll of heat-shrinkable film (12) defined by a fold and two opposing faces (13, 14) which is drawn in a predetermined direction between an article loading station and a film heat shrinking and sealing station. Air is directed transversely to the predetermined direction to open the opposing faces (13, 14) to facilitate the introduction of an article between the faces (13, 14) of the film (12). Thereafter the packaged film is advanced to a heat shrinking and sealing station which includes a chamber (11) having a movable hood (15) and a support (20) with apertures through which hot air can be circulated for shrinking the film. At the same time, an exhaust fan (25) exhausts air from the chamber (11) and the interior of the folded film (12) incident to the shrinking thereof and the eventual heat sealing of at least the free edges of the film faces (13, 14). A pivoted damper (29) controls the flow of air associated with the blower (24).

  • Patent number: 4928829
Abstract: A device for tightly sealing bags and/or envelopes destined to the vacuum packaging of products, in particular foodstuffs, comprising a clamping member equipped with means for grasping and tightly closing against each other mutually opposite edges in correspondence of the open side of said bag. With the grasping and clamping means, a valve element cooperates, through which the air contained inside the bag can be evacuated when to the bag a vacuum source is applied.

  • Patent number: 4879863
Abstract: An apparatus for packaging an article by means of heat-shrinkable film comprises, in combination, first support means adapted to support a reel of the said film, a device for sealing the film wrapped around the article to be packaged, an air heating chamber, and second means for placing into and removing from the said chamber the article contained within the said film. The said chamber has a substantially box-shaped configuration and is self-bearing, and with respective walls thereof there are associated the said first support means, the said sealing device and the said second means of placement and removal.

  • Patent number: 4860622
Abstract: A machine for cutting sheet material by means of a dinking die comprises a pair of pressure rollers through which a pack represented by a sheet material/dinking die is caused to pass by travel along a work surface transversely to a pair of rollers supported by a central frame; provision also being made for a drive unit with relative controls for rotating at least one of the rollers of the said pair alternatively in one of the two directions, wherein the said sheet material/dinking die pack are held in place by a rectangular containment frame.

  • Patent number: 4164111
Abstract: In a vacuum-sealing method and apparatus for various articles to be packed under vacuum, the improvement consisting in that a hot-air circulating closed-loop path is provided within the vacuum-packaging enclosure, so as to have hot air circulating unidirectionally in order to sweep the package virtually concurrently with the evacuation and autogenous welding stage. A swingable flap valve inserted in the hot-air path upstream of the specially provided heating means ensures such a unidirectional hot air flow. By so doing, the vacuum-packing operations can be more efficiently and quickly completed. The package wrappers are made of a thermoplastics, heat-shrinkable material.
