Abstract: Disclosed is an electrode assembly, a battery, and a battery pack and a vehicle including the same. In the electrode assembly, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a separator interposed therebetween are wound based on a winding axis to define a core and an outer circumference. The first electrode includes a first active material portion coated with an active material layer and a first uncoated portion not coated with an active material layer along a winding direction. At least a part of the first uncoated portion is defined as an electrode tab by itself. The first uncoated portion includes a first portion adjacent to the core of the electrode assembly, a second portion adjacent to the outer circumference of the electrode assembly, and a third portion interposed between the first portion and the second portion. The first portion or the second portion has a smaller height than the third portion in the winding axis direction.

The method includes generating a Simple Contact Object (SCO) mapped to at least one contact and a Simple Inputbox Object (SIO) for message composition, displaying the generated SCO and SIO on an idle screen in a widget format, composing a message using the displayed SIO, and storing the composed message in the SIO, and, when a contact between the SIO storing the message therein and the SCO is detected, transmitting the stored message to the contact mapped to the SCO.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for a Conversational Message (CM) function of a mobile communication system are provided. The apparatus includes a CM manager for defining information indicating a start and end of a CM function and information regarding a folder for storing message data exchanged with a peer portable terminal in a message to be transmitted, and for transmitting the defined message to the peer terminal. Accordingly, the CM function is improved by transmitting information for announcing that a CM is transmitted in a message transmission process to enable rapid response processing and by granting an access right on stored data when performing the CM function.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for providing information for multimedia messaging service (MMS) in a portable terminal are provided. The method includes: receiving an MMS message having free of charge reply information; and displaying the free of charge reply information on the display unit. Periodically, the portable terminal reminds a user of the free of charge reply information, so that the user does lose advantages from failing to read the charge reply information.
