  • Publication number: 20230404953
Abstract: The present invention relates to ?-resorcylic acid for use in reducing the amount of white adipose tissue. The inventors have discovered that ?-resorcylic acid causes a selective reduction of white adipose tissue without affecting skeletal muscle mass. The present invention thereby allows the therapeutic use of ?-resorcylic acid in preventing the accumulation of white adipose tissue or in reducing white adipose tissue. The present invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition, to the non-therapeutic use of ?-resorcylic acid, and to a nutraceutical composition or functional food, dietary product, or nutritional supplement.

  • Patent number: 10626457
Abstract: Arrays of integrated optical devices and their methods for production are provided. The devices include an integrated bandpass filter layer that comprises at least two multi-cavity filter elements with different central bandpass wavelengths. The device arrays are useful in the analysis of highly multiplexed optical reactions in large numbers at high densities, including biochemical reactions, such as nucleic acid sequencing reactions. The devices provide for the efficient and reliable coupling of optical excitation energy from an optical source to the optical reactions. Optical signals emitted from the reactions can thus be measured with high sensitivity and discrimination. The device arrays are well suited for miniaturization and high throughput.

  • Patent number: 8194839
Abstract: Method and apparatus for controlling a provisioning process. A first provisioning entity (115) issues a provisioning order (401). A provisioning controller (10) checks whether the received provisioning order is complete. If the order is not complete, a second provisioning entity (116,115) is selected to provide further provisioning data (PD1,PD2,PD3,PD4,PD5,PD6) so as to complete the incomplete received provisioning order and to send the corresponding provisioning order/s to the corresponding provisioned entity/ies (121, 122, 123). The provisioning controller may check a service provisioning template (PT-X), which can comprise identifiers of provisioning entities that can supply certain provisioning data, identifiers of the data that can be obtained from each and sequence information determining the order in which said data may be collected and provided for provisioning a given service. A status register may be used to keep track the processing status of a received provisioning order.

  • Publication number: 20110270807
Abstract: Method, apparatus and computer program for storing by a database server a plurality of data entries containing data related to a plurality of applications. The database server receives a request to modify the content of a data entry and checks a validation rule related to the entry before performing the modification. The validation rule contains information usable for determining valid data contents that can be stored in said entry, and information for building the validation rule is received from one or more application servers serving said applications. When a back end database server system stores data related to a plurality of applications, data validation check mechanisms are simplified, as information for performing validity checks are received from the application servers in the database system.
