    Abstract: The present invention relates to an oscillation damping and counterpoising circular knitting machine, particularly to a circular knitting machine wherein the distance between the pinion or the belt pulley and each latch needle is comparatively lengthened or an oscillation damping means further provided whereby the oscillation which would bring about undesired horizontal lines upon the knitted fabric is counterpoised and meantime greatly decreased.
