Two-dimensional antenna array, one-dimensional antenna array and single differential feeding antenna
Patent number: 9614291Abstract: A two-dimensional antenna array has n rows of 1×m one-dimensional array and each one-dimensional array is composed of multiple single differential feeding antennas. Each single differential feeding antenna has a differential feeding structure and a microstrip antenna stripe. A longitudinal length of the microstrip antenna stripe is no longer than one wavelength in a dielectric medium, so the microstrip antenna stripe is not excited to a high-order mode. An angle of inclination of a main beam aligns with the broadside and a width of the main beam is further concentrated at elevation direction. The differential feeding structure can reduce an even mode to enhance an isolation. The one and two-dimensional antenna array is miniature by using the small single differential feeding antennas. Isolation and gain of a dual-antenna system using the two-dimensional or one-dimensional antenna arrays are further enhanced and increased if more feeding antenna arrays are used.Type: GrantFiled: September 4, 2015Date of Patent: April 4, 2017Assignee: U&U ENGINEERING INC.Inventors: Chun-Hao Hu, Chi-Ho Chang, Yo-Sheng Lin, Ping-Chang Tsao -

Publication number: 20170016984Abstract: A device for measuring a surface speed and a liquid level of a fluid is disclosed. The device includes a RF transceiving module for alternatively transmitting a first FMCW signal and a first CW signal to the fluid, and receiving a second FMCW signal and a second CW signal reflected from the fluid. A processor is used for calculating the liquid level of the fluid based on a frequency difference between the first FMCW signal and the second FMCW signal, and for calculating the surface speed of the fluid based on a frequency difference between the first CW signal and the second CW signal. Since the device integrates functions of measuring the surface speed and the liquid level of a fluid, it reduces an occupied room and facilitates a synchronization of data transmission.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 18, 2015Publication date: January 19, 2017Inventors: Hung-Chun LIN, Shou-Cheng CHANG, Ping-Chang TSAO, Shang-Fong CHIU, Chi-Ho CHANG

Patent number: 9423115Abstract: A lighting device includes a microwave sensor for adjusting its sensing range based on a range gate selected from multiple range gates. An active antenna module transmits first FMCW signal toward a target based on the selected range gate and for receiving second FMCW signal reflected from the target. The microwave sensor demodulates the first FMCW signal and the second FMCW signal to generate beat frequency signal. Then another demodulator demodulates the beat frequency signal to generate Doppler signal. The microwave sensor calculates a range between the microwave sensor and the target based on the beat frequency signal, calculates velocity of the target according to frequency of the Doppler signal, and determine whether to generate triggering signal according to the calculated velocity and the calculated range, when the object located within the range gate. The power module enables a lamp based on the triggering signal.Type: GrantFiled: December 3, 2013Date of Patent: August 23, 2016Assignee: U&U ENGINEERING INC.Inventors: Chi-Ho Chang, Yun-Chun Sung, Ming-Tsung Hsu, Jen-Chih Huang, Guo-Zhong Lu, Ping-Chang Tsao
