  • Publication number: 20240135990
Abstract: A resistive memory apparatus including a memory cell array, at least one dummy transistor and a control circuit is provided. The memory cell array includes a plurality of memory cells. Each of the memory cells includes a resistive switching element. The dummy transistor is electrically isolated from the resistive switching element. The control circuit is coupled to the memory cell array and the dummy transistor. The control circuit is configured to provide a first bit line voltage, a source line voltage and a word line voltage to the dummy transistor to drive the dummy transistor to output a saturation current. The control circuit is further configured to determine a value of a second bit line voltage for driving the memory cells according to the saturation current. In addition, an operating method and a memory cell array of the resistive memory apparatus are also provided.

  • Patent number: 6494374
Abstract: A scanner has a casing with a transparent surface, a scanning module, a reflecting surface module, a driving device and a control circuit. The scanning module is moveably installed inside the casing under the transparent surface, and is used to scan the document and produce corresponding scanning signals. The scanning module has a light source installed under the transparent surface to illuminate the document, an image sensing module to scan images from the document and produce the corresponding scanning signals, and a reflective module to reflect the images from the document to the image sensing module. The reflecting surface module is moveably installed above the transparent surface, and is used to reflect light from the light source down to the transparent surface. The driving device is installed inside the casing to move the scanning module. The control circuit controls the operations of the scanner.

  • Patent number: 6489602
Abstract: An image scanner having a driving mechanism to synchronize the movement of a transmission-mode light source and a carriage mounted therein an image pickup device is disclosed. The driving mechanism includes a driving motor and two transmission devices both connected to the driving motor. One of the transmission devices connects the carriage to the motor. The other transmission device penetrates through the scanning platform at an upper end where an upper cover and a lower housing of the scanner housing are pivotally connected to connect the transmission-mode light source to the motor. Thereby, the two transmission devices are simultaneously driven by the motor to move the carriage and the transmission-mode light source synchronously.

  • Patent number: 6400484
Abstract: A scanner has a casing with a transparent platform, a scanning module movably installed inside the casing, a reflecting surface module located above the transparent platform, a driving device installed inside the casing to move the scanning module, and a control circuit installed inside the casing to control operations of the scanner. The scanning module has a housing, a first light source and a second light source installed in parallel inside the housing, the first light source or the second light source illuminating the document, an image sensing module installed inside the housing to scan images from the document to produce corresponding scanning signals, and a reflector module installed inside the housing to reflect the images from the document to the image sensing module. The reflecting surface module is removably fixed to the housing and located above the transparent platform to reflect light upwardly emitted from the first light source down to the document.

  • Publication number: 20020008144
Abstract: The present invention provides a focused light source of a scanner, and the scanner comprises a housing and a scanning module installed in the housing for scanning a document. The light source is used for illuminating the document so that the scanning module can scan the document. The light source comprises a line-shaped light tube, a mask, and a focusing device. The mask has a line-shaped groove with a line-shaped opening and an arc-shaped cross section wherein the line-shaped light tube is fixed in the line-shaped groove in parallel and the inner surface of the line-shaped groove is reflective for reflecting the light emitted from the light tube toward the opening of the groove. The focusing device is installed at the opening of the groove for focusing onto the document the light emitted from the light tube and the light reflected from the inner surface of the groove.
