  • Publication number: 20210132854
Abstract: A data interpretation apparatus, method, and non-transitory tangible machine-readable medium thereof. The data interpretation apparatus includes a storage and a processor, wherein the processor is electrically connected to the storage. The storage stores a plurality of bytes included in a memory of an Internet of Things device. The processor interprets the bytes by a plurality of predetermined interpretation schemes individually and thereby obtains a plurality of interpreted data of each of the predetermined interpretation schemes. Each of the predetermined interpretation schemes is related to a data type and a byte order. The processor analyzes the data characteristic of the plurality of corresponding interpreted data for each of the predetermined interpretation schemes and thereby obtains an analysis result of each of the predetermined interpretation schemes.

  • Publication number: 20190081864
Abstract: Embodiments relate to a gateway and a method of determining machines to be networked at a gateway. In the embodiments, the gateway stores original channel information of a programmable logic controller (PLC) configured on an original networked machine. The gateway further defines a controlling logic process based on the original channel information, and selects at least one functional channel from a plurality of original channels of the PLC configured on the original networked machine. When a target networked machine connects to the gateway, the gateway determines whether the target networked machine is capable of replacing the original networked machine by comparing target channel information of a PLC configured on the target networked machine with channel information of the at least one functional channel.

  • Patent number: 9677910
Abstract: Disclosed is an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) system, used in a power system that comprises a high-voltage power supplying switch, at least one transformer and at least one smart meter. Each transformer has one end connected to at least one smart meter and has another end connected to the high-voltage power supplying switch or at least another transformer. The AMI system comprises a plurality of power line bridges and at least one data concentrator unit (DCU). Each power line bridge is connected to the transformer in parallel. The DCU has one end electrically connected to the power line bridge. The power line bridge has one end electrically connected to the smart meter, and another end electrically connected to the DCU. The power line bridge communicates with the smart meter via the narrowband power line communication (NPLC), and communicates with the DCU via the broadband over power line communication (BPLC).

  • Publication number: 20150145689
Abstract: An advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) site survey system is provided. The AMI site survey system includes a gateway simulation equipment and a smart meter simulation equipment. The gateway simulation equipment communicates with a server via a WAN communication protocol, and communicates with the smart meter simulation equipment via a LAN communication protocol. The smart meter simulation equipment sends a piece of power simulation information, and transmits the power simulation information to the gateway simulation equipment based on the LAN communication protocol. The gateway simulation equipment transmits the power simulation information to the server based on the WAN communication protocol so that the server records a network transmission status of the transmission of the power simulation information via the WAN communication protocol and the LAN communication protocol.

  • Publication number: 20140118163
Abstract: A data processing apparatus and a data processing method thereof for use in power line communications are provided. The data processing apparatus includes a first communication interface, a second communication interface, a storage, and a processor electrically connected to the first communication interface, the second communication interface and the storage. The first communication interface communicates with an electricity meter via a first power line and receives a first signal from the electricity meter, wherein the first signal comprises electricity meter data. The second communication interface communicates with a concentrator via a second power line. The processor estimates a first channel parameter of the second power line, and stores the electricity meter data to the storage if the processor determines that the first channel parameter is larger than a channel parameter threshold.
