    Abstract: The present invention provides a Saccharomyces uvarum strain capable of low production of higher alcohols and strong degradation of malic acid. After the wine using Saccharomyces uvarum recombinant strain of the present invention is fermented for 5 days, with other fermentation properties unaffected, the content of isobutanol, isoamyl alcohol and phenethyl alcohol in the wine is 28.18 mg/L, 171.76 mg/L and 13.60 mg/L respectively, which is reduced by 20.28%, 14.77% and 11.26% compared with the starting strain, the total content of main higher alcohols (n-propanol, isobutanol, isoamyl alcohol and phenethyl alcohol) is reduced by 12.97%, and the content of malic acid is reduced to 1.13 g/L after fermentation, which greatly shortens the fermentation period, overcomes the influence of lactic acid bacteria fermentation in the ordinary fermentation process and unpleasant flavor caused by higher content of higher alcohols.

    Abstract: Presented herein are embodiments of an unsupervised cross-lingual sentiment classification model (which may be referred to as multi-view encoder-classifier (MVEC)) that leverages an unsupervised machine translation (UMT) system and a language discriminator. Unlike previous language model (LM)-based fine-tuning approaches that adjust parameters solely based on the classification error on training data, embodiments employ an encoder-decoder framework of an UMT as a regularization component on the shared network parameters. In one or more embodiments, the cross-lingual encoder of embodiments learns a shared representation, which is effective for both reconstructing input sentences of two languages and generating more representative views from the input for classification. Experiments on five language pairs verify that an MVEC embodiment significantly outperforms other models for 8/11 sentiment classification tasks.

The UE can determine one or more power levels indicated by the ULPI for resources allocated for the UE for uplink transmission. The allocated resources may include multiple of the sets of uplink resources. The UE can select the power level to use for uplink transmission using the allocated resources based, at least in part, on the determination. The UE sends or drops the one or more uplink transmissions according to the ULPI. A time duration of the plurality of sets of uplink resources can be longer than a configured ULPI monitoring periodicity.

    Abstract: Training energy-based models (EBMs) by maximum likelihood may require MCMC sampling to approximate the gradient of Kullback-Leibler divergence between data and model distributions, but it is non-trivial to sample from an EBM because of the difficulty of mixing between modes. The present disclosure discloses embodiments to learn a variational auto-encoder (VAE) to initialize a finite-step MCMC derived from an energy function for efficient amortized sampling of the EBM. With these amortized MCMC samples, the EBM may be trained by maximum likelihood, which follows an “analysis by synthesis” scheme; while the VAE learns from MCMC samples via variational Bayes. In this joint training process, the VAE chases the EBM toward data distribution. The learning methodology may be interpreted as a dynamic alternating projection in the context of information geometry.

The present invention realizes rapid analysis of historical drilling data and accurate prediction of an ROP range at a sample point in a feasible domain. The method can obtain an optimized ROP and an optimized engineering parameter through Bayesian optimization, and obtain an engineering parameter corresponding to an optimal ROP. The method has few restrictions on the drilling engineering parameter and the raw formation parameter, improves prediction accuracy, and avoids the problem of blurred parameter value boundaries.
