The lamp holder is press-fit into space between the cable retainer and the peripheral wall of the lamp base to urge the cable retainers clamping the cables.

    Abstract: An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1) having a receiving cavity (110) and a passageway (1130) in communication with the receiving cavity therein, and an electric contact (3) received in the passageway and extending into the receiving cavity for contacting with a complementary connector. The receiving cavity has a pair of surfaces opposite to each other, with one of said surfaces attached to said passageway and the other one standing far away from the passage. The contact has first and second elastic contact engaging portions (311, 313) for physically and electrically connecting with the complementary connector, and the first contact engaging portion is closer to said the other surface of the receiving cavity than the second contact engaging portion.

    Abstract: A cable connector assembly includes a cable connector 1 and a cable 6. The cable connector includes a connector body 3, a retention frame 7, a retention body 2 and a conductive body 8. Each wire of the cable includes an insulation layer 61 surrounding a plurality of metal conductor threads 62 therein. The retention body defines a plurality of tapered passageways 20 therethrough. The connectorbody has an insulative housing 14 comprising a plurality of contacts 5. Each contact 5 is formed with a tapered portion 52 for piercing into the passageway 20 along a lengthwise direction of the wire to engage with and expand the wire. The insulation is expanded by the tapered portion of the contact to securely engage with the retention block.

    Abstract: An electrical connection cable manufacturing method includes the steps of (1) providing a first insulator defining a plurality of channels for receiving and retaining conductive pins, a tail section of each pin having a sharpened edge; (2) providing a second insulator defining a plurality of channels each receiving a leading end of an electrical wire, each channel having a slot communicating therewith; and (3) bringing the first and second insulators toward each other whereby the tail ends of the pins are inserted into the corresponding slots of the channels of the second insulator and the sharpened edge of each pin cuts through an insulative sheath of the wire to electrically engage a conductive core thereof. An electrical connection cable manufactured from the above-described steps comprises a positive displacement connection between the sharpened edge of the conductive pin and the conductive core of the wire thus soldering is not required.
