Abstract: A LED lamp assembly (100) includes a LED light (1); a lamp holder (2) having a body portion (21) enclosing a hollow portion (23) to partially retain the LED light therein; a lamp base (3) including a cylindrical peripheral wall (31) and rear wall (32) connecting to the peripheral wall to define a socket (30) with a front opening, said lamp base (3) further having two cable retainers (34) seated in the socket (30) and discrete from the peripheral wall (31); a pair of cables (4) respectively extending into the cable retainers via at least a cable passage (321) of the rear wall. The lamp holder is press-fit into space between the cable retainer and the peripheral wall of the lamp base to urge the cable retainers clamping the cables.

Abstract: An electrical connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1) having a receiving cavity (110) and a passageway (1130) in communication with the receiving cavity therein, and an electric contact (3) received in the passageway and extending into the receiving cavity for contacting with a complementary connector. The receiving cavity has a pair of surfaces opposite to each other, with one of said surfaces attached to said passageway and the other one standing far away from the passage. The contact has first and second elastic contact engaging portions (311, 313) for physically and electrically connecting with the complementary connector, and the first contact engaging portion is closer to said the other surface of the receiving cavity than the second contact engaging portion.

Abstract: A cable connector assembly (100) includes a frame (2) defining a opening (20) for attaching the cable connector assembly with a panel of the mating connector, a printed circuit board (3) assembled with the frame with a number of passageways (30), a connector (1) attached with the frame, having a number of terminals (10) assembled therein, and extending through the passageways, and a cable (4) with a number of conductors (40, 41) electrically attaching with corresponding terminals though the passageways.

Abstract: A plug connector (100) includes an insulative housing (1) including a base portion (10) and a mating portion (12) extending from the base portion in a first direction, a number of contacts (2) received in the insulative housing; and a number of wires (3) comprising a number of signal wires (31) and a number of power wires (32) respectively electrically connecting with the contacts. The signal wires and the power wires are both arranged to extend along second opposite directions perpendicular to the first direction of the mating portion to locate at opposite sides of the mating portion.

Abstract: A plug connector includes an insulative housing (1) including a base portion (10) and a mating portion (12) extending from the base portion in a first direction, a number of contacts (2) received in the insulative housing, and a number of wires (3) including a number of signal wires (31) and a number of power wires (32) respectively electrically connecting with the contacts. The signal wires and the power wires are both arranged to extend along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction of the mating portion. The power wires are arranged into two groups respectively symmetrically arranged relative to the base portion along the second direction and electrically connect to the same contacts.

Abstract: An electrical connector includes a terminal block defining a plurality of receiving passageways extending therethrough, a plurality of terminals respectively received in the terminal block and a protective member assembled to the front side of the terminal block. Each terminal defines a media portion positioned in the corresponding receiving passageways and a contacting portion extending forwardly from the media portion and beyond the corresponding receiving passageways. The protective member further defines a plurality of channels corresponding to the receiving passageways for entirely receiving the plurality of contacting portions of the terminals.

Abstract: A cable connector assembly includes a cable connector 1 and a cable 6. The cable connector includes a connector body 3, a retention frame 7, a retention body 2 and a conductive body 8. Each wire of the cable includes an insulation layer 61 surrounding a plurality of metal conductor threads 62 therein. The retention body defines a plurality of tapered passageways 20 therethrough. The connectorbody has an insulative housing 14 comprising a plurality of contacts 5. Each contact 5 is formed with a tapered portion 52 for piercing into the passageway 20 along a lengthwise direction of the wire to engage with and expand the wire. The insulation is expanded by the tapered portion of the contact to securely engage with the retention block.

Abstract: An electrical connection cable manufacturing method includes the steps of (1) providing a first insulator defining a plurality of channels for receiving and retaining conductive pins, a tail section of each pin having a sharpened edge; (2) providing a second insulator defining a plurality of channels each receiving a leading end of an electrical wire, each channel having a slot communicating therewith; and (3) bringing the first and second insulators toward each other whereby the tail ends of the pins are inserted into the corresponding slots of the channels of the second insulator and the sharpened edge of each pin cuts through an insulative sheath of the wire to electrically engage a conductive core thereof. An electrical connection cable manufactured from the above-described steps comprises a positive displacement connection between the sharpened edge of the conductive pin and the conductive core of the wire thus soldering is not required.
