  • Patent number: 7152436
Abstract: A circular knitting machine provides sinkers that are moved in an inclined manner in the sinker troughs to position yarn laps and prevent the sinkers from hitting yarn feeding plates. The sinker has a nose section to hold the yarn laps at a horizontal high point to prevent the yarn laps from slipping, and has a throat section which has a horizontal first end surface and a belly section with an inclined second end surface in order to keep the knitting needles and sinkers moving smoothly during a knitting operation. The yarn feeding plate has a dodging edge on a distal end, the dodging edge being formed in a shape corresponding to the movement track of the sinker and having a slanted surface at the front end thereof, so as to avoid hitting the sinker when the sinker is moved in the sinker trough in an inclined manner.

  • Patent number: 6840065
Abstract: A sinker of circular knitting machines for pile fabrics, which is used in the circular knitting machine assembly has an aslant contact surface between a sinker cylinder and a cam. By the aslant surface disposed on a nose section of the sinker, the bottom yarn can fall accordingly and constitutes a perfect plating loop effect with the binding yarn. Further a first end surface of a throat section and the second end surface of an abdominal section are designed with different inclined angles to cope with the movement of a sinker cylinder of a circular knitting machine having an aslant surface. Therefore, the knitting needle and the sinker on the circular knitting machine can maintain a smooth knitting movement.

  • Patent number: 6637241
Abstract: An improved fabric take-up apparatus adopted for use on an elevated take-up apparatus with a large capacity includes a frame, a conveying mechanism located in the frame, a take-up mechanism located in the frame, at least one friction mechanism located in the frame between the conveying mechanism and the take-up mechanism, a balancing weight mechanism located on two sides of the frame, a speed changing mechanism located at a lower section of the frame and a stop mechanism located in the frame. The conveying mechanism transports the fabric to the take-up mechanism for rolling. The fabric is rolled until the diameter of the roll increases to contact the friction rod of the friction mechanism, then the friction rod aids the take-up mechanism to roll the fabric. Meanwhile, the friction mechanism is hauled by the balancing weight mechanism so that the friction rod firmly presses the rolling fabric.

  • Patent number: 6386003
Abstract: A yarn feeder for circular knitting machines includes a jutting section located on a yarn feeding section of the yarn feeder. The jutting section has a yarn directing surface to allow the yarn to either slide over the surface without forming floss, or to retain the floss on the jutting section. Thereby, the yarn maybe fed smoothly and effectively above the knitting needle without rupturing to allow the knitting needle to raise and pick up the yarn as the knitting operation proceeds.

  • Patent number: 5714828
Abstract: An improved spindle motor, particularly for a hard-disc drive, having a stator in the form of a cylindrical coil carried by a mounting plate and a permanent magnet rotor carried on a rotatable hub. At its outer circumference the rotor generates a field perpendicular to the axis of rotation. A bell-shaped portion of the hub surrounds the coil. The hub is supported on the motor shaft by axial and radial hydrodynamic bearings. A soft-iron sleeve-shaped yoke externally surrounds the coil configuration. This permits the coil to be free of soft-magnetic parts, thereby reducing its inductance and improving the dynamic drive characteristics of the motor. The coil is preferably formed by curved foil windings, so there are no winding slots. This avoids the production of detent torques.

  • Patent number: 5097162
Abstract: A stepper motor, having a permanent magnet rotor rotatably mounted within the annulus of a stator winding, also has a rotatable spring magnet and a stationary bias magnet. The spring magnet is attached to the rotor and is disposed adjacent the stationary bias magnet. When the stator winding is not energized, the rotor assumes a home position established by the spring and bias magnets. When the stator winding is energized, the rotor is rotated away from the home position by an angular displacement determined by the winding current.

  • Patent number: 4672247
Abstract: A hybrid stepper motor having two alternately excited magnetic systems, one providing positions of 0.degree. and 180.degree., and the other positions of 90.degree. and 270.degree.. To minimize position offset due to unequal flux through the two air gaps of the unexcited system, a nonmagnetic space is provided to reduce the relative difference in reluctance between the magnetic paths which include the two air gaps of the unexcited magnetic system.
