Abstract: A wrist worn electronic device includes a hollow casing including an internal protruding tab defining a groove. A display panel is arranged within the hollow casing. A touch panel is arranged on the display panel and is larger than the display panel. The touch panel includes a margin portion around the display panel and rests on the protruding tab. The margin portion is connected to the protruding tab by waterproof adhesive. The groove accommodates waterproof adhesive to form a sealing layer to prevent water from entering the casing.

Abstract: An electronic reading device is disclosed, for use with a handwriting pen that has a first working mode and a second working mode. The electronic reading device includes a display, a processor, a first controller, and a second controller. The first controller signals the processor and the second controller. The processor displays a track of the handwriting pen after being signaled by the first controller. The second controller sends a request to the handwriting pen to determine a working mode of the handwriting pen, and signals the processor when determining that the working mode is the second mode. The processor also erases the track after being signaled by the second controller.

Abstract: An image capture device includes a light sensor, a projector and a processing unit. The light source detects luminance value of ambient light. The projector projects images by using light generated by a light source included in the projector. The processing unit obtains luminance value from the light sensor in response to a capture operation; determines whether the obtained luminance value is less than a predetermined value; and controls the projector to adjust the luminance of the light source and capturing image simultaneously if the luminance value is less than the predetermined value.

Abstract: A handwriting input device includes a vibration sensor, a motion sensor, a communication unit, and a microcontroller. The vibration sensor is tuned to a range of frequencies that includes the expected vibration frequency generated by a finger wearing the device when the finger writes on a surface. The motion sensor senses movement of the device. The microcontroller generates cursor control signals according to the movement sensed by the motion sensor and generates handwriting activation signals when a frequency of vibration detected by the vibration sensor falls within the range of frequencies, and transmits the cursor control signals and the handwriting activation signals to an external electronic device communicating with the device through the communication unit to signal the external electronic device to control movement of a displayed cursor and displays the track of the movement of the displayed cursor.

Abstract: An electronic device for transmitting warning information to a monitoring device is provided. The monitoring device includes a radio frequency transmitting unit transmitting a wireless signal. The electronic device includes a radio frequency receiving unit, a detector, a wireless transmitting unit, and a processor. The radio frequency receiving unit receives the wireless signal transmitted by the radio frequency transmitting unit when the distance between the radio frequency transmitting unit and the radio frequency receiving unit is less than a preset value. The detector detects the movement or the oscillation of the electronic device. The radio frequency receiving unit generates an anomalous potential to signal the processor to enable the detector when not receiving the wireless signal transmitted through the radio frequency transmitting unit.

Abstract: A projection device with a brightness adjustment function includes a polarization beam splitter (PBS), a light source, a reflective display, a lens module, a power supply unit, a light detection unit and a power controller. The light source emits light to the PBS. The PBS reflects a portion of the light to the reflective display, and transmits a remaining portion of the light. The lens module projects the images. The light detection unit acquires a digital value of a portion of the light reflected by the PBS that is not received by the reflective display, and compares the digital value with a predetermined digital value to generate a control signal. The power controller for adjusts power from the power supply unit to the light source according to the control signal until the digital value matches the predetermined digital value of the light from the light source.
