  • Patent number: 8051364
Abstract: A parallel-to-serial conversion method for IBMA in a Reed Solomon decoder is used for obtaining discrepancies in IBMA iterations, thereby acquiring an error location polynomial and an error value polynomial. Syndrome sequences for the calculation of discrepancies in IBMA iterations have a fixed length. The number of syndromes is t+1, where t is the largest number of symbols that can be corrected of the error location polynomial. The feature that syndrome sequences have the same length is based on the fact that the discrepancies are not affected if the coefficients of polynomial orders of the error location polynomial are zero.

  • Publication number: 20110260987
Abstract: A dual screen electronic device includes an E-paper display screen, an LCD screen, a command input unit, a touch input unit, and a processing unit. The E-paper display screen and the LCD screen are arranged on the same side of the electronic device. The command input unit corresponds to the E-paper display screen and produces a trigger signal to trigger the LCD screen. The touch input unit corresponds to the LCD screen and produces touch information in response to user operations. The processing unit receives the trigger signal and the touch information, and executes a function associated with the received trigger signal and touch information. If no touch information produced on the touch input unit over a predefined time, the processing unit drives the LCD screen to enter a rest mode; if a trigger signal is produced, the processing unit then wakes up the LCD screen.

  • Publication number: 20110182463
Abstract: An ultra-thin loudspeaker including: a) an iron basin having a first receiving portion and a second receiving portion at the top surface thereof; b) a magnet unit positioned within the first receiving portion of the iron basin; c) a voice coil positioned around the magnet unit; and d) a vibrating diaphragm positioned within the second receiving portion. These are assembled to form a mini-speaker. Furthermore, the mini-speaker is enclosed by a top and a bottom metal cover. In this way, the mini-speaker of the invention resolves the heat-dissipating problem of the conventional thin loudspeaker. Moreover, the thickness of the entire loudspeaker may be minimized. In addition, an excellent concentration of the magnetic force is achieved and the production yield rate is increased.
