    Abstract: The present invention refers to a combination of a TGF-beta inhibitor selected from the group consisting of an ALK-5 inhibitor, a neutralizing pan-anti-TGF-beta antibody, a neutralizing antibody against TGF-beta-1, or/and -2, or/and -3, a neutralizing anti-TGF-beta receptor type I or/and type II or/and type III antibody or binding fragments thereof with IL-2 and GM-CSF for use in a method of treating a malignant tumor in a patient. The invention is further directed to a pharmaceutical composition comprising the combination of the present invention, wherein the combination of compounds as well as the pharmaceutical composition are administered intratumorally.
