Patent number: 11935419Abstract: The present disclosure provides for holding pattern detection and management by identifying from flight data for an aircraft that the aircraft has performed a first turn, followed by a leg traverse, and followed by a second turn in a direction circuitous to the first turn and indicating that the aircraft is in a holding pattern and/or identifying from flight data that the aircraft has passed within a predefined distance of a fixpoint and in response to identifying that the aircraft has performed a turn in a known direction associated with a historical holding pattern charted from the fixpoint, indicating that the aircraft is in a holding pattern.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2019Date of Patent: March 19, 2024Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: Jakub Dziecielski, Michal Kowalewski, Piotr Mazur, Anna Neumann, Anna Meringer, Jonasz Rudnick

Patent number: 11885710Abstract: A flow measuring system for one or more oil nozzles of a lubrication system of an aircraft engine comprises an external supply of a testing liquid and a pump fluidly connecting the external supply of the testing liquid to an inlet of the lubrication system via a first conduit. The inlet to the lubrication system is disposed upstream of the one or more oil nozzles. A second conduit fluidly connects an outlet of the lubrication system to the external supply of the testing liquid. The outlet of the lubrication system is disposed downstream of the one or more oil nozzles. A flow measuring device is operable to measure a flow resistance through the one or more oil nozzles.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 2022Date of Patent: January 30, 2024Assignee: PRATT & WHITNEY CANADA CORP.Inventors: Steven Farber, Patrick E Paradis, Lukasz Jost, Piotr Grabski, Marcin Siedlarz, Piotr Mazur, Rafał Panek

Patent number: 11645927Abstract: The present disclosure provides predictive flight diversion management by: receiving weather data for a zone of air traffic control; receiving flight tracking data for a plurality of aircraft travelling in the zone of air traffic control; determining capacity rates for a plurality of airports in the zone of air traffic control, based on the flight tracking data; and in response to receiving a diversion trigger from a predictive model predicting a diversion event: determining, based on the weather data, the flight tracking data, and the capacity rates, a subset of aircraft from the plurality of aircraft that are to be diverted from original destinations in the zone of air traffic control to new destinations.Type: GrantFiled: July 22, 2019Date of Patent: May 9, 2023Assignee: THE BOEING COMPANYInventors: Anna Meringer, Jonasz Rudnik, Piotr Mazur, Jakub Dziecielski

Publication number: 20230128554Abstract: A semiconductor-superconductor hybrid device comprises a semiconductor component and a superconductor component arranged over the semiconductor component. The superconductor component comprises a continuous portion of a superconductor material and a discontinuous portion of a non-ferromagnetic metal. The discontinuous portion is configured to increase the critical field of the superconductor component. It has been found that providing a superconductor component with a discontinuous portion of non-ferromagnetic metal may increase the critical field of the superconductor component, allowing the device to be operated in a stronger magnetic field. Further aspects provide a method of fabricating the device, and the use of a non-ferromagnetic metal to increase the critical field of a superconductor component of a semiconductor-superconductor hybrid device.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 28, 2020Publication date: April 27, 2023Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Marina QUINTERO PÉREZ, Grzegorz Piotr MAZUR, Nick VAN LOO

Patent number: 11398159Abstract: A method to reduce aircraft fuel consumption includes determining whether a particular aircraft belongs to a runway queue associated with one or more aircraft waiting to take-off from a runway of an airport based on (i) real-time aircraft geographic location information associated with the particular aircraft and (ii) a graph associated with features of the airport. An amount of time the particular aircraft spends in the runway queue before taking off from the runway can be determined. A runway queue take-off delay associated with the runway queue can be determined based at least in part on the amount of time the particular aircraft spends in the runway queue. The runway queue take-off delay can be communicated to a controller terminal of the airport to facilitate routing a different aircraft to a different runway queue associated with a shorter runway queue take-off delay to reduce fuel consumption by the different aircraft.Type: GrantFiled: November 18, 2019Date of Patent: July 26, 2022Assignee: The Boeing CompanyInventors: Jakub Dziecielski, Piotr Mazur, Jonasz Rudnik, Michal Ruminski, Aleksander Rydzewski
