    Abstract: In an illustrative embodiment, systems and methods for automatically identifying positions of objects of interest using a vehicle-mounted sensor apparatus include obtaining images captured by imaging sensor(s) of the sensor apparatus during a time interval and analyzing the images to detect objects of interest. On detecting an object of interest, the systems and methods may calculate a geographic position corresponding to the object of interest and store a data record including an identifier of the object of interest, the geographic position, and a timestamp. The objects of interest may include urban fixtures, advertising materials, and/or vehicles. The systems and methods may be applied to identifying parking violations.
