  • Publication number: 20130113759
Abstract: There is provided a displacement detection device including a light source, an image sensor and a processing unit. The light source provides light to a finger with a light source parameter. The image sensor receives reflected light from the finger, outputs valid images when the light source is being turned on and outputs dark images when the light source is being turned off. The processing unit determines a contact status according to one of the dark images and one of the valid images, and calculates a displacement according to two of the valid images to accordingly adjust the light source parameter.

  • Publication number: 20130093678
Abstract: An optical navigation chip cooperated with a light source for being used in a mouse is provided. The mouse transmits a mouse signal to a computer for navigation control. The optical navigation chip includes an optical sensing array and a circuitry. The optical sensing array is utilized for receiving a reflected light from a surface indicating features of the surface for generating a digital frame corresponding to intensity variation caused by the reflected light. The circuitry is coupled to the optical sensing array, and utilized for generating a digital displacement signal by monitoring the intensity variation of two different digital frames, wherein the two digital frames are captured by the optical sensing array at two different time. Additionally, the mouse suspends the mouse signal to the computer if the intensity variation is flat.

  • Publication number: 20130069177
Abstract: A method for fabricating a MEMS resonator is provided. A stacked main body including a silicon substrate, a plurality of metallic layers and an isolation layer is formed and has a first etching channel extending from the metallic layers into the silicon substrate. The isolation layer is filled in the first etching channel. The stacked main body also has a predetermined suspended portion. Subsequently, a portion of the isolation layer is removed so that a second etching channel is formed and the remained portion of the isolation layer covers an inner sidewall of the first etching channel. Afterwards, employing the isolation layer that covers the inner sidewall of the first etching channel as a mask, an isotropic etching process through the second etching channel is applied to the silicon substrate, thereby forming the MEMS resonator suspending above the silicon substrate. A micro electronic device is also provided.
