  • Publication number: 20250239317
Abstract: A storage device may speed up error correction by pre-characterizing weak cell information in a memory device. The storage device includes a memory device with cells that may store multiple bits. A controller executes a pre-characterization operation on the memory device to identify a slow cell and/or a fast cell on the memory device. The controller retrieves weak cell information for the slow cell and/or the fast cell. The controller converts the weak cell information into values used by an error correction engine and provides the values to the error correction engine to be used in decoding information retrieved from the memory device.

  • Publication number: 20250231884
Abstract: A stream classification system of a data storage device monitors an access frequency of data stored by the data storage device. If the data is classified as cold data, the stream classification system rewrites the cold data to a primary storage partition using one or more special data storage parameters. The one or more special data storage parameters cause the cold data to be more resilient to various data storage issues including, but not limited to, data retention issues, read disturb issues and/or temperature cross issues.

  • Patent number: 12360849
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for dynamically generating and applying automated search evaluation sets to improve search results and to automatically detect and correct search system issues are described. A search evaluation set may comprise a set of search evaluation vectors that each map a search query and corresponding properties of the search query to a canonical search result. To detect search system issues over time, baseline search result rankings may be periodically generated or automatically generated after software updates to the search system have been made. Two consecutive baseline search result rankings using the same search evaluation set may then be compared to detect result deviations in search result rankings. If the search system detects that at least a threshold number of result deviations have occurred, then the search system may perform subsequent actions to automatically detect and correct search system issues.

  • Patent number: 12360850
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device are provided for handling GBBs with defects between global interconnects and local word lines. The storage device includes a plurality of blocks each including a plurality of word lines, a plurality of interconnects within an interconnect set and between multiple ones of the blocks, volatile memory, and a controller. The controller determines a logical address pattern associated with the multiple ones of the blocks respectively including a program failure, determines whether the logical address pattern is associated with the interconnect set for the multiple ones of the blocks, determines a common word line associated with the program failures in the multiple ones of the blocks, un-marks these blocks as GBBs, and refrains from programming the common word line during respective program operations in the multiple ones of the blocks. Thus, blocks may be reclaimed, defective word line(s) isolated, and likelihood of read-only modes reduced.

  • Publication number: 20250220091
Abstract: Systems and methods in which a network switch detects a dropped packet and automatically generates a report with information on the dropped packet. Additionally, a visibility packet that includes the dropped packet and one or more additional headers is generated. The headers are used to route the visibility packet to the pipeline of the network switch that originally processed the dropped packet. The headers also include a visibility indicator that causes the pipeline to store visibility data. As the visibility packet is processed by the pipeline, information (visibility data) generated during the processing of the packet is stored in a visibility memory. The visibility data is retrieved from the visibility memory and added to the generated report prior to transmitting the report to an external collector for analysis of the packet drop.

  • Patent number: 12346891
Abstract: There are provided systems and methods for identifying transaction processing retry attempts based on machine learning models for transaction success. A service provider, such as an electronic transaction processor for digital transactions, may detect a failure of data processing for a transaction when processed with a separate data processing system, such as a card processing system for payment cards. In order to minimize cost and wasted resources for retrying transactions that are likely to further fail, a machine learning model may be implements that generates a predictive score for whether a failed transaction is likely to be successful if retried with the data processing system. The predictive score may be used to predict a probability of success, which may then be used with a cost function to determine a cost to retry the failed transaction and a cost to stop a retry of the failed transaction.

  • Publication number: 20250211025
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support energy harvesting devices, which may harvest power from received radio frequency (RF) signaling. To support energy harvesting, a network entity may configure one or more frequency resources within a channel bandwidth for wireless energy transfer (WET). The network entity may transmit a broadcast signal indicating the configuration to multiple devices. An energy harvesting device may receive the broadcast signal, identify the frequency resources configured for WET, and perform energy harvesting using signaling received in the frequency resources. For example, the network entity, a user equipment (UE), or any combination of these or other energy providing devices may transmit signaling in the frequency resources configured for WET to provide power to energy harvesting devices.
