  • Publication number: 20070005735
Abstract: UPnP cluster systems and methods. An UPnP cluster system comprises a first device, a second device, and a control point. The second device emulates the first device. The control point discovers and communicates with the first device via the second device.

  • Publication number: 20060280190
Abstract: UPnP mirroring systems and methods. A UPnP mirroring system comprises a control point, at least one UPnP device, a mirroring agent, and at least one remote control device. The control point and the UPnP device are coupled to a first network. The remote control device is coupled to a second network. The mirroring agent is coupled to the first and second networks, and emulates the presence of the control point on the second network. The remote control device communicates with the UPnP device via the emulated control point on the second network.

  • Patent number: 6211339
Abstract: Disclosed is a Drosophila grim gene and encoded GRIM polypeptide, an activator of apoptosis. The disclosed nucleic acid sequences are useful in the production of the protein and as hybridization probes and primers. Expression of the GRIM protein causes programmed cell death. Preferred embodiments include expression of grim under the control of an inducible promoter and the use of such a construct in the control of an insect population.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 4, 1998
Date of Patent: April 3, 2001
Assignee: Board of Regents, The University of Texas System
Inventors: John M. Abrams, Po Chen, William Nordstrom
