Abstract: Method to form low-contact-resistance contacts to source/drain features are provided. A method of the present disclosure includes receiving a workpiece including an opening that exposes a surface of an n-type source/drain feature and a surface of a p-type source/drain feature, selectively depositing a first silicide layer on the surface of the p-type source/drain feature while the surface of the n-type source/drain feature is substantially free of the first silicide layer, depositing a metal layer on the first silicide layer and the surface of the n-type source/drain feature, and depositing a second silicide layer over the metal layer. The selectively depositing includes passivating the surface of the surface of the n-type source/drain features with a self-assembly layer, selectively depositing the first silicide layer on the surface of the p-type source/drain feature, and removing the self-assembly layer.

Abstract: An integrated circuit (IC) with conductive structures and a method of fabricating the IC are disclosed. The method includes depositing a first dielectric layer on a semiconductor device, forming a conductive structure in the first dielectric layer, removing a portion of the first dielectric layer to expose a sidewall of the conductive structure, forming a barrier structure surrounding the sidewall of the conductive structure, depositing a conductive layer on the barrier structure, and performing a polishing process on the barrier structure and the conductive layer.

Abstract: A method for self-diagnosing a system management interrupt (SMI) handler is provided. A first time value is obtained from an advanced configuration and power interface (ACPI) timer at a time of executing the SMI handler. And a source path of a SMI is obtained. Then, a second time value is obtained from the ACPI timer at a time of finishing the SMI handler. An execution time is obtained according to the first time and the second time. If the execution time is greater than or equal to a time-out value, related information of the SMI is recorded.

Abstract: A computer system and a method for a configuration management program transmitting a system information are provided. The method includes the following steps. A first memory is provided, wherein the first memory records at least one system information. An interrupt is enabled from the configuration management program when the configuration management program needs a system information of the computer system, wherein the interrupt has a corresponding command information. An interrupt processing program processes the interrupt so as to perform a corresponding configuration setting operation according to the command information or to return the corresponding system information in the first memory to the configuration management program.

Abstract: A print controlling method is applied to a printer. The printer includes a plurality of nozzles, wherein each nozzle is respectively driven by one of a plurality of address lines. The print controlling method includes dividing the plurality of address lines into M groups, wherein M is a positive integer; and enabling the address lines belonging to one of the M groups to drive the corresponding nozzles during each slice period, wherein the address lines enabled at adjacent slice periods correspond to different groups.

Abstract: A printer performs one-way printing for outputting a test pattern as an actual pattern having printing deviation. An optical detector then scans the actual pattern in the same direction as the actual pattern is outputted and transforms the scanning result into a correlation diagram of a distance to the light reflection rate. A one-way deviation amount can be obtained and taken as a position adjustment value of the one-way printing by comparing the curve in the correlation diagram with a reference point. The forward printing deviation and the backward printing deviation of the printer can be corrected respectively when confronting inaccurate correction due to printhead jamming.

Abstract: A printing system outputs an alignment pattern using a printhead where its skewness is to be calibrated. The skewness of the printhead can be detected according to the pattern match of the alignment pattern. The available number of nozzles to be used on the printhead is then determined according to the skewness of the printhead, which thereby reduces the influence of skewness of the printhead.

The method includes ejecting ink from the nozzles of the first, second, or third sections of the second column during each pass of the printhead over a printing medium as necessitated by characteristics of the color image, advancing the printing medium in the first direction by the length H, and ejecting ink from the nozzles of the first and third columns during every third pass that the printhead makes over the printing medium as necessitated by the characteristics of the color image.

The image processing system has a memory for storing programs and a picture image, and a processor for executing the programs stored in the memory. The picture image has a plurality of pixels. The method has three steps. The first step is to find at least one image area with a predetermined characteristic from the picture image according to a predetermined image area detecting method. The second step is to define a boundary area around the image area according to a predetermined boundary area defining method. The third step is to adjust pixels inside the image area according to a predetermined color adjusting method, and adjust pixels inside the boundary area according to a different but similar color adjusting method so that the color adjustment can be extended from the image area to the boundary area.

Abstract: An image processing system has a memory for storing programs, an unprocessed image and a processor for executing the programs in the memory. The image is a plurality of pixels arranged as a matrix, and each pixel has several color parameters. The image has at least one image region. One of the color parameters is adjusted according to an initial image adjusting value. Then, in one direction of up, down, left or right, the image adjusting value is successively changed by adding a fixed value, or multiplying by a fixed factor. Each successive pixel has its color parameter adjusted by adding the image adjusting value to it. Image adjustment proceeds in this way from the image region to an outer region along the predetermined direction.
