  • Patent number: 8149281
Abstract: An electronic device and method for operating a presentation application file includes acquiring a histogram of each of a plurality of designated objects, and defining an operation corresponding to each of the plurality of designated objects. The electronic device and method further includes acquiring a histogram of a recognized object in an image, determining a matched designated object by comparing the histogram of the recognized object with the histograms of the designated objects, and executing an operation function corresponding to the matched designated object.

  • Publication number: 20110150202
Abstract: A system and a method for automatic disconnection of a phone call of a communication device include setting a critical time of the phone call, resetting a timer of the communication device when the communication device starts a phone call, and obtaining a local voice and a remote voice of the phone call. The system and method further include starting timing when determining both of the local voice and remote voice are inactive, and controlling the communication device to perform an auto disconnection of the phone call when the duration of inactivity exceeds the predetermined critical time.

  • Patent number: 7929729
Abstract: A method of image processing, the method comprising receiving an image frame including a plurality of pixels, each of the plurality of pixels including an image information, conducting a first extraction based on the image information to identify foreground pixels related to a foreground object in the image frame and background pixels related to a background of the image frame, scanning the image frame in regions, identifying whether each of the regions includes a sufficient number of foreground pixels, identifying whether each of regions including a sufficient number of foreground pixels includes a foreground object, clustering regions including a foreground object into at least one group, each of the at least one group corresponding to a different foreground object in the image frame, and conducting a second extraction for each of at least one group to identify whether a foreground pixel in the each of the at least one group is to be converted to a background pixel.

  • Publication number: 20090129629
Abstract: Disclosed is a method and apparatus for adaptive object detection, which may be applied in detecting an object having an ellipse feature. The method for adaptive object detection comprises performing an object shape detection based on the extracted foreground from the object; determining whether the object being occluded according to the detected feature statistic information of the object; if the object being not occluded, determining whether to switching object shape detection to ellipse detection; if the object being occluded or necessary to switch to ellipse detection, performing ellipse detection on the foreground; when the foreground being detected to have ellipse features, the object is continuously tracked; and when the current detection being ellipse detection, determining whether the ellipse detection being able to switch back to object shape detection.
