  • Publication number: 20240087207
Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for reducing GPU load by programmatically controlling shading rates in computer graphics. GPU load may be reduced by applying different shading rates to different screen regions. By reading the depth buffer of previous frames and performing image processing, thresholds may be calculated that control the shading rates. The approach may be run on any platform that supports VRS hardware and primitive- or image-based VRS. The approach may be applied on a graphics driver installed on a client device, in a firmware layer between hardware and a driver, in a software layer between a driver and an application, or in hardware on the client device. The approach is flexible and adaptable and calculates and sets the variable rate shading based on the graphics generated by an application without requiring the application developer to manually set variable rate shading.

  • Publication number: 20240090238
Abstract: A memory device and a method for manufacturing the memory device are provided. The memory device includes a stack and a plurality of memory strings. The stack is disposed on the substrate, and the stack includes a plurality of conductive layers and a plurality of insulating layers alternately stacked. The memory strings pass through the stack along a first direction, wherein a first memory string in the memory strings includes a first conductive pillar and a second conductive pillar, a channel layer, and a memory structure. The first conductive pillar and the second conductive pillar respectively extend along the first direction and are separated from each other. The channel layer is disposed between the first conductive pillar and the second conductive pillar. The memory structure surrounds the second conductive pillar, and the memory structure includes a resistive memory material.

  • Patent number: 11329328
Abstract: Provided is a technique capable of detecting deformation based on an abnormality such as heat generation in an article by a simpler, smaller, or lower-cost configuration, to suppress occurrence of an accident due to the abnormality of the article. An abnormality detector for measuring deformation of a battery B, such as a lithium-ion battery, to detect an abnormality of the battery, the abnormality detector includes: a sealed container disposed in close contact with at least a part of an outer surface of the battery, while containing and sealing a fluid such as water, the sealed container having flexibility; and a pressure sensor configured to measure a change inside the sealed container, accompanying deformation of the battery.

  • Patent number: 10246308
Abstract: An object-connecting device includes an engaging member having a perforation, a first sleeve having a first axial hole, a first abutting surface, and a first recess, a second sleeve passing through the perforation, a bolt passing through the first axial hole and the second axial hole, and a retaining ring. The second sleeve has a second axial hole, a second abutting surface, and a second recess, wherein the second axial hole communicates with the first axial hole. The second abutting surface abuts against the first abutting surface. The second recess matches with the first recess to form a receiving groove. The retaining ring is disposed in the receiving groove and is fastened on the bolt. With the aforementioned design, the bolt could be prevented from disengagement.

  • Patent number: 7662056
Abstract: A racket stringing machine comprises includes a horizontal adjustment device and a brake device. The adjustment device is fixed to a base by a horizontal mounting seat which includes a horizontal rail and a base plate with one end slidably mounted to the rail. Thus, the string pulling device can be horizontally moved to adjust the angle of the string relative to the racket, so as to eliminate the friction between the string and the racket, improving the stringing quality and extending life of the racket frame. The brake device includes a disc and a clamping device disposed on a rotary shaft of the base. The clamping device is connected to hand and foot switches by two brake cables. When the operator leaves or stops the machine for a while during a stringing operation, he can stop the stringing operation conveniently by using the hand or foot switch.
