  • Patent number: 10012206
Abstract: A runner vane of an axial hydraulic machine according to embodiments described herein includes a center-side vane part provided on a radial center side and defined by a center-side camber line, and a boss-side vane part provided at a side edge on a side of a runner boss and defined by a boss-side camber line. As determined by the flow direction of a turbine, a curvature of an upstream side portion of the boss-side camber line is larger than a curvature of an upstream side portion of the center-side camber line. An upstream end of the boss-side vane part is positioned on a side of a rotation direction of a runner in comparison with an upstream end of the center-side vane part when viewed toward a downstream side along a rotation axis line of the runner.

  • Patent number: 9951745
Abstract: An axial flow water turbine according to an embodiment includes a discharge ring and a runner vane. When seen in the runner meridional cross section, a straight line that passes a border between a cylindrical surface and a spherical surface of the discharge ring and that is perpendicular to a water turbine rotation axis is denoted as A. A crossing point between the straight line A and the water turbine rotation axis is denoted as B. A straight line inclined by an angle ? of 10 degrees or less is denoted as C. A cross point between the straight line C and the external peripheral end surface of the runner vane is denoted as D. In this case, the external peripheral end of the forward edge of the runner vane is located on the crossing point D.

  • Publication number: 20160160834
Abstract: A hydraulic machine according to embodiments described herein includes a channel defining member, a plurality of guide vanes, and a runner. The channel defining member defines a channel. Each of the guide vanes can turn about a turning axis. The runner is provided on an inner peripheral side of the guide vanes. The guide vane has a pair of edges facing the channel defining member. A disc member is provided to at least one of the edges of the guide vane. The disc member is buried in the channel defining member and includes a central axis which is the turning axis. The disc member overlaps with at least one of an upstream end of a downstream end of the guide vane when viewed from a direction along the turning axis.
