  • Publication number: 20240389998
Abstract: The invention relates to a surgical device for felting an implant to soft tissue of a patient. The device comprises at least one felting needle that is configured to move reciprocally. The device comprises a needle protection mechanism to prevent the at least one felting needle from being damaged due to a contact with rigid structure during the reciprocal motion. The needle protection mechanism comprises a buckling wire that is configured to transfer the reciprocal motion from the actuator to the at least one felting needle. The buckling wire is configured to buckle if the at least one felting needle contacts the rigid structure such that the buckling wire axially compressed.

  • Publication number: 20240009467
Abstract: An implantable medical device including a first patch for electrical stimulation and/or electrical sensing of human or animal soft tissue is disclosed. The first patch includes a felt material. The felt material has a multitude of fibers that are entangled with each other. The felt material is suitable to be felted with fibers of human or animal soft tissue. The first patch includes fibers that are electrically conductive such that the soft tissue can be electrically stimulated and or electrical signals of the soft tissue can be sensed.

  • Publication number: 20240008897
Abstract: The present disclosure shows a surgical device for felting an implant to soft tissue of a patient. The surgical device includes at least one felting needle. The at least one felting needle is configured to move reciprocally. Further, the surgical device includes a connection interface for connecting the at least one felting needle to an actuator and for transferring a reciprocal motion from the interface to the at least one felting needle. The device includes a needle protection mechanism. The needle protection mechanism prevents the at least one needle from being damaged during the reciprocal motion due to a contact with a rigid structure.
