Abstract: The present application relates to a stand garment steamer (1). The stand garment steamer (1) has a base unit (2), a support (19) extending from the base unit (2), and a treatment board (14) with a treatment surface (17) against which fabric is positionable. The treatment board (14) is supported and spaced from the base unit (2) by the support (19). A tilting mechanism (20) connects the support (19) to the treatment board (14), the tilting mechanism (20) being operable to allow the treatment board (14) to be fixed in multiple operating orientations between vertical and horizontal positions. A reversible generator is in the base unit (2), and at least one vent (18) is in the treatment surface (17) through which air and/or steam from the reversible generator is passable. A fluid pathway (47) fluidly connects the reversible generator and the at least one vent (18) irrespective of the operating orientation of the treatment board. This stand garment steamer improves ironing experience of users.

The first and second ironing board sections (4a,4b) and the hinge mechanism (18) are configured such that the first and second ironing board sections (4a,4b) pivot away from each other from said operative position towards said storage position.

The body (11) includes a connector (17) for coupling the garment steamer head (10) to a steam supply hose (16) of a garment steamer. The connector (17) comprises a coupling element (19) that is rotatable relative to the body (11) and steam nozzle (12) such that the body (11) and steam nozzle (12) together are rotatable relative to the steam supply hose (16) when the steam supply hose (16) is connected to the coupling element (19). The garment steamer head (10) further comprises a link pipe (21) connected between the connector (17) and the steam nozzle (12). The link pipe (21) is made of a flexible material to allow rotation of the coupling element (19) relative to the body (11).

Abstract: In an assembly of a steam generator device (10) and a plastic housing (20), the steam generator device (10) is arranged inside the housing (20), and comprises the following elements: a steam generator shell (11) for containing water and steam; a heating element (14) for heating the steam generator shell (11) and its contents; and a heater plate (12) arranged between the heating element (14) and the steam generator shell (11) for improving heat transfer between the heating element (14) and the steam generator shell (11). In order to prevent the whole of the heater plate (12) and the heating element (14) from falling on a bottom (21) of the housing (20) in case of failure of the connection between the heater plate (12) and the steam generator shell (11), mounting supports (30) for supporting the heater plate (12) are bottom (21) of the housing (20), and which comprise a material that is resistant to high temperatures.
