Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for reconciling moved workloads for a management component in a computing environment uses a remediation queue to enqueue a remediation entry for a workload that has moved within the computing environment. The remediation entry for the workload is dequeued from the remediation queue and a remediation service on the remediation entry for the workload is executed to update metadata for the workload in the management component. A processing status of the remediation entry for the workload is stored at the management component.

Abstract: System and computer-implemented method for detecting and reconciling moved workloads for a management component in a computing environment determines workloads that have moved as moved workloads based on received data at the management component. For a first moved workload with an associated workload, workload metadata is swapped with the associated workload and the first moved workload is updated in the management component. For a second moved workload without an associated workload, the second moved workload is preserved as preserved workloads for further processing.
