Abstract: A cup dispenser for cups containing freshly made beverages comprises a discharge opening connecting a dispensing chamber with the interior of the dispenser. This discharge opening is from the inside filled by a rotor mounted about a vertical shaft. The peripheral wall of the rotor closes completely the discharge opening in any position of the rotor apart from the position in which a recess opposes the discharge opening. This recess is shaped in such a manner that it may receive a cup situated therein when the dispenser is activated. Subsequently, the cup is filled with the desired beverage at a filling station and optionally provided with a cover at a cover dispensing device. Such a dispenser protects the interior parts thereof efficiently against the environment, and furthermore it allows the positioning of the covers on the filled cups in a simple manner.

Abstract: A vending machine comprising at least one drum pivotably mounted about a vertical shaft comprises a front pane permitting the customer to view the articles contained in the drum. In order to increase the utilization of the compartments of the drum and the use of compartments of many different sizes, the front pane comprises an outer pane and an inner pane. The inner pane is pivotably mounted about the same axis as the drum. The outer pane covers the entire stack of drums, whereas each drum is associated with one inner pane. Each inner pane comprises a first pawl engaging a pin which is associated with each partition. This pawl may be made to disengage the pin by means of a releasing mechanism which is activated when the drum in question is activated by a switch. At the same time the outer pane is caused to rotate clockwise about the axis, which movement the inner pane is caused to follow as a consequence of a first dog engaging the outer pane.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a device for preparing beverages such as coffee, tea and cocoa in portions in containers such as plastic cups, said containers being first partially filled with a pre-measured amount of flavored powder and thereafter filled up with water. According to the invention water is added under slight overpressure via a water outlet head (3) for partial filling of the container, during which pressure water is added via separate nozzle heads (4) to ensure thorough whipping of the flavored powder in the water.
