  • Patent number: 11342002
Abstract: An automated solution to determine suitable time ranges or timestamps for captions is described. In one example, a content file includes subtitle data with captions for display over respective timeframes of video. Audio data is extracted from the video, and the audio data is compared against a sound threshold to identify auditory timeframes in which sound is above the threshold. The subtitle data is also parsed to identify subtitle-free timeframes in the video. A series of candidate time ranges is then identified based on overlapping ranges of the auditory timeframes and the subtitle-free timeframes. In some cases, one or more of the candidate time ranges can be merged together or omitted, and a final series of time ranges or timestamps for captions is obtained. The time ranges or timestamps can be used to add additional non-verbal and contextual captions and indicators, for example, or for other purposes.

  • Publication number: 20220156213
Abstract: A reconfigurable data processor includes a plurality of configurable units, and a configuration controller. The configuration controller is configured to start execution of a first application graph in a first set of configurable units. Then, concurrently with the execution of the first application graph in the first set of configurable units, the configuration controllers receive a command to load a configuration file into a second set of configurable units and obtain the configuration file. The configuration file contains information to configure the second set of configurable units to execute a second application graph. The configuration file is then loaded into the second set of configurable units and execution of the second application graph is started in the second set of configurable units.

  • Publication number: 20220150045
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for syntonizing machines in a network. A coordinator accesses probe records for probes transmitted at different times between pairs of machines in the mesh network. For different pairs of machines, the coordinator estimates the drift between the pair of machines based on the transit times of probes transmitted between the pair of machines as indicated by the probe records. For different loops of at least three machines in the mesh network, the coordinator calculates a loop drift error based on a sum of the estimated drifts between pairs of machines around the loop and adjusts the estimated absolute drifts of the machines based on the loop drift errors. Here, the absolute drift is defined relative to a drift of a reference machine.

  • Publication number: 20220150065
Abstract: Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for determining an encryption technique for a modified data object to backup. Deep data inspection is performed on an object using a natural language processing module to determine facets for the object. The facets provide facet values for instances of sensitive information in the object. The facet values for the object are processed to determine a cumulative facet value. A determination is made of an encryption technique comprising one of a plurality of different encryption techniques to use on the object based on the cumulative facet value. The determined encryption technique is used to encrypt the object to transfer to a backup storage.

Abstract: A method for selectively dropping out feature elements from a tensor is disclosed. The method includes generating a mask that has a plurality of mask elements. Each mask element includes a corresponding plurality of bits representing either a first value or a second value, to indicate whether a corresponding feature element of the tensor output by a neural network layer is to be dropped out or retained. Each mask element of the plurality of mask elements of the mask is compressed to generate a corresponding compressed mask element of a plurality of compressed mask elements of a compressed mask, thereby generating the compressed mask from the mask. Each compressed mask element of the plurality of compressed mask elements includes a corresponding single bit. Feature elements are selectively dropped from the tensor, based on the compressed mask.

  • Publication number: 20220141084
Abstract: Example implementation relates to a method of failure detection and seamless traffic switchover in a VPN system. A cluster of nodes exchange heartbeat messages to detect a failure at a first node in the cluster. When failure is detected at the first node, a master node transmits a failover message to a network end node connected to the first node. The failover message includes a list of active nodes to which traffic may be routed. The network end node updates its routing table based on the failover message and switches the traffic to a second node in the cluster of nodes.

  • Publication number: 20220141920
Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE) to perform methods for enhancement of multi-SIM devices, such as UE 106. A network may increase paging retries for known MU-SIM devices, e.g., based on an indication of capabilities from a MU-SIM device. The indication may be via a NAS registration request, an RRC capability procedure, and/or an RRC UE assistance procedure. Additionally, a network may include an indication of a paging priority to the UE. The UE may then determine a response to the page based, at least in part, on the indicated priority. Further, the UE may indicate a tune-away to the network. The indication of the tune-away may include a cause and/or duration for the tune-away and may be provided at an RRC level or a network access stratum (NAS) level.

  • Patent number: 11321246
Abstract: A support information provisioning system a support device, an external device; and a customer device. The customer device includes an external connector and a remote access controller device that is coupled to the external connector. In situations where the customer device is experiencing at least one customer device issue that prevents the customer device from provisioning support information related to the operation of the customer device, the remote access controller device operates to detect that the external device has been connected to the external connector and, in response, automatically cause new support information about that customer device to be generated. When the external device is subsequently connected to the support device, it may then provide that new support information to the support device for analysis.

  • Publication number: 20220132287
Abstract: Embodiments are presented herein of apparatuses, systems, and methods for a user equipment device (UE), manufacturer server, and/or cellular network to perform radio capability signaling. A new type of UE radio capability identifier is provided which may allow a network to distinguish between similar UEs that have or have not implemented a capability update. In order to perform a forced capability update, a manufacturer may issue information about the update to a cellular network (and receive acknowledgement of the information) prior to pushing the update to UEs. In response to an unforced capability update, a cellular network may maintain multiple UE radio capability identifiers for similar UEs which have or have not implemented the update. A UE radio capability identifier may be adjusted dynamically in response to temporary changes in the UE's capability.
