  • Publication number: 20170252721
Abstract: A transformer oil moisture removing apparatus and fabric may he provided. At least one piece of the fabric may be inserted in a transformer such that it is in contact with the transformer oil. The fabric may chemically interact with the oil to remove water and moisture. The fabric may not affect the electrical insulation and cooling properties of the transformer oil. The fabric may be in a transformer for the duration of the transformer's life.

  • Publication number: 20160352088
Abstract: A surge arrester mounting bracket may be provided. A surge arrester mounting bracket may include a plate having an arrester mounting section, a transformer mounting section, and at least one bend disposed therein. A surge arrester mounting bracket may further include at least one support gusset configured to engage and reinforce the plate.

  • Publication number: 20160348816
Abstract: A flange designed for gasket compression control. Flange may have a hollow inner portion surrounded by a substantially flat outer lip, in which there may be a number of boltholes. Flange may have at least one mechanical stopper extending outward from it in a position unobstructed by the gasket; there may be mechanical stoppers on either side of the gasket, separated into “external” and “internal” mechanical stoppers. Mechanical stopper may be of a height equal to or greater than the lower bound of the minimum safe range of the gasket, or alternatively may be paired with a mechanical stopper on another flange such that when the two are mated the combination of the two exceeds the minimum safe range. This value may typically be around twenty to thirty-five percent of the gasket's uncompressed thickness. Optionally, the space between the external and internal mechanical stoppers may be grooved to further serve as a guide.

  • Patent number: 6097754
Abstract: A method of automatically detecting the baud rate of an input signal and an apparatus using the method. A counter is started upon detecting a first transition of the input signal. The counter is stopped upon detecting a second transition of the input signal. After the counter is stopped, the measured count in the counter represents the duration between the first and second transitions of the input signal. The measured count is compared to a plurality of expected counts to determine which of the plurality of expected counts has a value closest to the measured count. The input signal is sampled using a baud rate based on the expected count having a value closest to the measured count.
