  • Publication number: 20230306786
Abstract: A method for identifying a user of an electronic device, includes: capturing at least one image frame of a portion of the user’s face; extracting facial descriptors from the at least one image frame of the portion of the user’s face; generating first facial descriptor coordinates by using the facial descriptors; determining a first distance between the first facial descriptor coordinates and second facial descriptor coordinates; resizing the first facial descriptor coordinates at least one of radially and angularly based on the first distance between the first facial descriptor coordinates and the second facial descriptor coordinates, and a weight associated with the facial descriptors used to generate the first facial descriptor coordinates.

  • Patent number: 10782212
Abstract: A sampler apparatus is disclosed. The sampler apparatus comprises an impactor assembly comprising a nozzle plate, an impaction plate, and a filter unit. The nozzle plate comprises a plurality of nozzles for channelling an air stream through the sampler apparatus. The impaction plate is adapted to collect particulate matter having size equal to or greater than a threshold size. The filter unit is adapted to collect particulate matter having size less than or equal to the threshold size. The sampler apparatus further comprises a control assembly coupled with the impactor assembly. The control assembly comprises one or more flow control devices to maintain a predetermined air-flow rate of the air stream within the sampler apparatus.

  • Patent number: 8715612
Abstract: Zinc peroxide nanoparticles, used for arsenic and chromium removal, were synthesized using zinc acetate di-hydrate as precursors in ammonical water medium at room temperature.
    Type: Grant

  • Publication number: 20130324673
Abstract: The present invention provides low cost and highly effective method for the removal of arsenic and Cr(III&VI) from contaminated water using zinc peroxide nanoparticles (20±5 nm) capped with glycerol/PVP/TEA up to the permissible range of drinking water. As Arsenic and chromium occurs naturally in the earth's crust. When rocks, minerals, and soil erode, they release arsenic and chromium into groundwater. Arsenic and chromium occurs naturally in varying amounts in groundwater in various parts of country from ppb level to ppm level. The average concentration of arsenic and chromium as per USEPA standard in drinking water it is 10 parts per billion and 0.05 ppm (50 ppb) respectively. In drinking water the level of chromium is usually low as well, but contaminated water may contain the dangerous Cr(III&VI). Although Cr(III) is an essential nutrient for humans and shortages may cause heart problems, disruptions of metabolisms and diabetes.
