  • Publication number: 20240119075
Abstract: Conventional Question and Answer (QA) datasets are created for generating factoid questions only and the present disclosure generates longform technical QA dataset from textbooks. Initially, the system receives a technical textbook document and extracts a plurality of contexts. Further, a first plurality of questions are generated based on the plurality of contexts. A plurality of answerable questions are generated further based on the plurality of contexts using an unsupervised template-based matching technique. Further, a combined plurality of questions are generated by combining the first plurality of questions and the plurality of answerable questions. Further, an answer for the combined plurality of questions are generated using an autoregressive language model and a mapping score is computed. Further, a plurality of optimal answers are selected based on the corresponding mapping score.

  • Patent number: 7529188
Abstract: Load is smoothed over multiple bearers in a given spot-beam for a TDMA wireless personal communication system, offering packet data communication services to individual user terminals in shared mode. Load can be smoothed over multiple bearers in a given spot-beam for a TDMA wireless personal communication system which allows maintenance of minimum service levels as a guarantee to individual connections as well as optimizing distribution of users to all available radio channels. It is possible to distinguish between whether a particular bearer is QoS-blocked or demand-blocked. Either a loose smoothing algorithm or a tight smoothing algorithm may be used for the load control operation based on the above dispensation.

  • Publication number: 20070014238
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of smoothing load over multiple bearers in a given spot-beam for a TDMA wireless personal communication system, offering packet data communication services to individual user terminals in shared mode. The present invention also relates to a method for the smoothing of load over multiple bearers in a given sport beam for a TDMA wireless personal communication system which allows maintenance of minimum service levels as a guarantee to individual connections as well as optimizing distribution of users to all available radio channels. The method of the invention is also enabled to distinguish between whether a particular bearer is QoS-blocked or demand-blocked. The method of the invention uses either a loose smoothing algorithm or a tight smoothing algorithm for the load control operation based on the above dispensation.

  • Patent number: 6650895
Abstract: A system and a methodology to improve the end-user quality of service both in terms of response time and reliability for the transport of in-call DTMF signals in wireless systems, particularly in geostationary mobile satellite systems. The methodology encompasses several techniques to provide acceptable end-to-end quality of service for DTMF. A technique is applicable for transport of DTMF in the wireless subscriber to network direction, where DTMF digits are carried in the form of an out-band message. The central part of the technique is to allow multiple key presses in the same message, thereby increasing efficiency and throughput in long-delay environment. Another technique utilizes the vocoder's functionality to carry DTMF in-band, thereby reducing system complexity.

  • Patent number: 6438386
Abstract: An approach for immediate channel assignment in a wireless communications system involves receiving a channel request message from a wireless transceiver, the channel request message including a dialed party number; forming an immediate assignment message including a channel assignment; transmitting the immediate assignment message to the wireless transceiver; and establishing a communications channel between the wireless transceiver and a called party by establishing a channel between the wireless transceiver and the called party.

  • Patent number: 6289482
Abstract: An approach for error flow control in a communications system involves receiving a plurality of frames of data; determining in said plurality of frames of data, two or more contiguous defective frames of data, the two or more contiguous defective frames of data being followed by at least one frame of data in said plurality of frames that is not defective; forming a group reject message indicative of a range of the two or more contiguous defective frames; transmitting the group reject message; and receiving replacement frames, the replacement frames corresponding to the two or more contiguous defective frames, wherein said at least one frame that is not defective is not received again in response to the group reject message.
